The Switchbacks and Grid Radar Array locations both have incredible sightlines over to the TV Station and Stadium, two main stops before hitting downtown. Given their obscurity, it may not be a bad idea to scout here prior to your assault on either locale.
The Gondolas over the gorge from the Northeast, East, West, and South move on fixed schedules, and can be great ways to travel across the area. However, because it moves at a fixed speed, their movement is easy to predict; should you want to snipe someone off them, remember to “lead your shot.”
In an otherwise open area, the Kart Racing Track’s watchtower can be used for some elevation against those running along Verdansk’s border, or to scout east towards civilization. Even if you don’t spot anyone from here, there may still be an item or Supply Box here for your troubles.
The Gora and Karst Rivers are mostly a transitionary area, save for their Flood Gates, which can be a great place to take cover. Just be careful about climbing the ladders out of here; if you are planning on doing so, it may be wise to pack a pistol along for self-defense.
The Verdansk Train Station also has another transit hub – a Bus Terminal – which may not be as popular as the sprawling station. With some scavenging opportunities here and in the Military Checkpoint, don’t hesitate to check this area before – or after – exploring the main Train Station.
With multiple staircases ladders, the Train Station has one of the largest and most accessible roof areas in Verdansk. Use it to either snipe enemies within the train yard, or those wandering about the Barakett Promenade.
Elevator shafts and the ends of exterior ascenders are a prime place to set up an ambush or protection via equipment pieces. Be cautious when deciding to head up a building using these fast modes of transportation it may be a safer option to take the stairwell and potentially flank those in waiting.
If you aren’t in a building within the Tavorsk Park, you may be exposed to those that are. When roaming around the park, try finding natural cover, such as rocks, cliffs, and trees, as you escape to a safer area.
With a flat area on the roof, the TV Station could have a helicopter ready for you to pilot out of this area. Alternatively, if you start to hear the whirr of those blades, look up towards the roof and you could catch a squad flying away from here.
