The Control Tower gives by far the best view of the entire airport, and even areas of North Verdansk, but it may not take long for other squads to catch onto a sniper up here. Worst case scenario: parachute away from the airport, as there are fewer points of interest there, which may translate to fewer enemies.
Given the verticality of Downtown, use it to your advantage by coordinating team strategies around it. Maybe a teammate can take overwatch on a building and make callouts while the others travel on foot, or each team member takes a section of a building when sweeping for items.
A collection of wooden pallets just outside the main warehouses can be an excellent place to sneak about and force close-quarters combat… Just don’t get stuck in here with an ATV, or you may have to abandon it.
Your parachute is your best friend when taking the high ground in Downtown. Remember that you can pull the chute if you are taking a potentially fatal plunge, and parachuting through the city could be one of the fastest modes of transportation.
The Gondolas over the gorge from the Northeast, East, West, and South move on fixed schedules, and can be great ways to travel across the area. However, because it moves at a fixed speed, their movement is easy to predict; should you want to snipe someone off them, remember to “lead your shot.”
Make use of the construction equipment and materials around the unfinished apartment, and you’ll be able to get to the roof of the structure to engage against snipers. Otherwise, there is always the interior stairwell, in addition to an exterior ascender on the east wall.
Compared to the rest of Krovnik Farmland, its Southern Farm section is like a small Suburb. Be sure to check every house for items – and enemies – and if you can take the risk, try climbing up on the water tower for an impressive view of the Farmland area.
There is another Vacant office just outside of what we all know as Vacant. This building provides excellent sightlines and could be a great counter-sniping position against a team that has taken control of the Vacant building area.
