Although the Verdansk Processing Warehouse, as well as an Apartment and Office, are outside of the actual Verdansk Hospital, they are still a part of the Hospital area. If your squad is dropping in and seeing the Hospital fill up quickly, it’s not a bad idea to call an audible and land in either of these two locations.
Scrapyard will be familiar ground for Call of Duty veterans, which may make it a hotly contested area if it is part of the safe area. Prepare for close quarters combat within the fuselages, warehouses, and office… And don’t forget to check the catwalk of Scrapyard Warehouse 3, one that’s been a notorious sniper perch for decades.
Your parachute is your best friend when taking the high ground in Downtown. Remember that you can pull the chute if you are taking a potentially fatal plunge, and parachuting through the city could be one of the fastest modes of transportation.
The Old Abandoned Mine can be a great spot to set-up an ambush on those rotating from the Verdansk Airport, or going through – or above – the Gora Tunnel, especially if you climb up the Loading Tower. While you are here, be sure check the mine for items left behind by the miners…
The most obvious of the bunkers around Verdansk is the complex north of Bloc 18, which is nary a secret even to novice travelers. Still, some call this a “secret spot,” not because the bunkers are [[REDACTED]], but because this area tends to have a Buy Station, plenty of items, and sometimes even a Contract here for a great start to a Battle Royale.
The two Comms Towers are the highest points within the Military Base area. Although they come with a bit of risk, snipers who want to scout ahead for their squad should put both of these points of interest on their radar.
If you want to potentially get the jump on players at the Summit or other points northwest, skip them and land towards Riverside. With it being at a less extreme location on the map and having plenty of buildings for scavenging opportunities, your squad could set some ambushes for enemies sprinting towards a safe zone.
Logically, one would think to drive over the rivers, but given that they are both barren, it is possible to take a ground vehicle down the Gora and Karst River. In fact, it could be a faster, and possibly sneakier, way to drive up and down Verdansk.
Don’t forget to check the buildings below the Grid Array, as they are usually stocked with items. Come here for the items and stay for the potential close quarters combat between buildings… Or to pick off the snipers walking the catwalks.
