By way of sheer convenience, the northern border of Verdansk between the Military Base and Salt Mine may be less travelled than the highway system. If you’re trying to travel between these two places, consider taking the cliff roads to potentially maintain a lower profile.
Your parachute is your best friend when taking the high ground in Downtown. Remember that you can pull the chute if you are taking a potentially fatal plunge, and parachuting through the city could be one of the fastest modes of transportation.
Unsure of where to start scavenging within the Verdansk Graveyard area? The nearby Pharmacy, Bank, and Police Station be a reliable stop during your campaign for an end game loadout. It’s not a bad idea to land here first, then spread out to the rest of the area.
If you parachute from the Superstore – especially from the pitched roof – you can land on top of the roof sections in the Parking Lot. Here, you could get some unique high ground against enemies within the lot or that are checking out of the Superstore.
The Swimming Pool could have some items lying at the bottom, but it’s not without risk. If you come here as a group, it may be wise to have one player take the dive, and the others on lookout from the pool deck.
Due to its proximity to the new Airplane Factory, an extension of the Maintenance area, the East side of Superstore is prone to snipers from these buildings. Keep your guard up when travelling between these areas, in addition to looking over to the Airport itself, the Swimming Pool, nearby Video Store, and Torsk Bloc, all of which are good counter-sniping positions.
Bloc 17 contains three potential Buy Stations spawns, including one at the Police Station that also has a fixed Ammo Cache, in addition to one nearby in Bloc 16. Consider this sleepy suburb a hot spot should multiple Buy Stations pop up here but doesn’t hesitate to rotate through here should you have the Cash.
Tonight at 10: An Unexpected Vantage Point Over Verdansk Central
The TV Station area is on natural high ground. Although it isn’t as mountainous as Verdansk North, this section of Central Verdansk, it can still provide an elevated vantage point, especially if you sit atop the TV Station or the Comms Tower… Just mind those sniping from the Radar Array behind you!
The Javdinsk Missile Silo is at a high elevation point. Whether you take to the cliffside or dare to dart across the hatch itself, this place may be a good rest stop and scouting point before heading off into the Military Base or Riverside.
A tunnel on the west side of the Zordaya Prison Complex allows for discrete entry/exit point to the complex in multiple areas, such as the Showers and the main cell hub. If you’re looking to escape – or enter – the complex, try jumping into this tunnel.
