The Swimming Pool could have some items lying at the bottom, but it’s not without risk. If you come here as a group, it may be wise to have one player take the dive, and the others on lookout from the pool deck.
With only the deep ocean blue behind you, travelling around to the southwest end of the Prison’s foundation could be a safe way to infiltrate the complex via exterior ascender. If you are already on the yard, it’s not a bad idea to set up an equipment trap or two at this ascender’s landing.
If you want to potentially get the jump on players at the Summit or other points northwest, skip them and land towards Riverside. With it being at a less extreme location on the map and having plenty of buildings for scavenging opportunities, your squad could set some ambushes for enemies sprinting towards a safe zone.
Scrapyard will be familiar ground for Call of Duty veterans, which may make it a hotly contested area if it is part of the safe area. Prepare for close quarters combat within the fuselages, warehouses, and office… And don’t forget to check the catwalk of Scrapyard Warehouse 3, one that’s been a notorious sniper perch for decades.
One of the secluded locales of Bloc 18 is the Camping Overlook, which has fantastic views of the Stadium and Karst River Bridge. Should your squad be roaming around the Northeast, consider stopping here and taking overwatch before advancing forward.
The Train Station has numerous stairwells, such as from the West and East Platform buildings, in addition to Exterior Ascenders which allow for roof access. Know that flanks can come from all sides and consider setting up equipment traps here to cover your six.
Bloc 17 contains three potential Buy Stations spawns, including one at the Police Station that also has a fixed Ammo Cache, in addition to one nearby in Bloc 16. Consider this sleepy suburb a hot spot should multiple Buy Stations pop up here but doesn’t hesitate to rotate through here should you have the Cash.
The Superstore has multiple open shelves, both at ground level and above, which can make for some unique engagement opportunities. If you sense that an enemy is within the store, it doesn’t hurt to check every aisle, or use a tool that can give recon such as a UAV or Heartbeat Sensor.
A collection of wooden pallets just outside the main warehouses can be an excellent place to sneak about and force close-quarters combat… Just don’t get stuck in here with an ATV, or you may have to abandon it.
Between Tavorsk Park and Downtown is Fire Station 12, a great spot to rotate to and from given views over these locations plus the Hospital, along with having a potential Buy Station spawn. Watch the tower for potential snipers, especially if the Cargo Truck that usually is parked here has gone missing.
