The foothills of the Salt Mine may leave you completely exposed, but still has incredible views over the potential action down below. Just watch your six when you’re up here: you’ll have to set up some protection or a buddy behind you, as there isn’t a border to save you from a flank from the north.
To Scavenge or Not to Scavenge (Probably Scavenge)
The watchtower in the Foothills north of the Salt Mine has an incredible view of its northeastern section. If the collapse isn’t an issue and you like to snipe, consider finding it after you get a loadout that’s appropriate for extreme long-range combat.
Forget Downtown – Bloc 6 is closest major area to the absolute center of Verdansk. Therefore, circle collapses have a high probability of including this suburb in the first safe zone, so it’s best to learn this area just as much as Superstore and other popular drops!
Travelling across the Military Base, especially when hopping from hangar to hangar, might be a daunting task on foot. Given how little cover there is on the roads and runway, using a vehicle around here isn’t a bad idea, and in some cases, you might just find one lying around on the base.
The Zordaya Prison Complex Yard can hold valuable items and even vehicles, but the guard towers and wall can house enemy sharpshooters. Be cautious when wandering out onto the yard, lest you be sent to the Gulag.
A collection of wooden pallets just outside the main warehouses can be an excellent place to sneak about and force close-quarters combat… Just don’t get stuck in here with an ATV, or you may have to abandon it.
