In general, the area south of Quarry before hitting Central Verdansk has only a few villages and points of interest that are far between each other. Be prepared to either travel by vehicle through here or prepare for long-range shootouts and using natural cover for survival.
Tip #220
TV Station: Broadcasting Live from Central Verdansk
Veterans of the Call of Duty franchise will find the TV Station to be familiar ground: the ground floor shares a layout to the Call of Duty 4®: Modern Warfare map Broadcast. Just don’t let those rose-tinted glasses blind you from this hotly contested zone.
There is another empty office just outside of what we all know as Vacant. This building provides excellent sightlines and could be a great counter-sniping position against a team that has taken control of the Vacant building area.
Getting up to the physical checkpoints at both ends of the Port can offer phenomenal 360-degree views of the surrounding area. Just be mindful that there is absolutely no cover up here.
By way of sheer convenience, the northern border of Verdansk between the Military Base and Quarry may be less travelled than the highway system. If you’re trying to travel between these two places, consider taking the cliff roads to potentially maintain a lower profile.
The Swimming Pool could have some loot lying at the bottom, but it’s not without risk. If you come here as a group, it may be wise to have one player take the dive, and the others on lookout from the pool deck.
The parking garage is deceptively complicated for an area. From military tents to ground loot taking up parking spaces, it’s not a bad idea to explore every part of this lot or decide to land here against the more obvious Airport areas.
The massive runway could be an extremely deadly area; not taking cover behind the dolosse and whatever else is scattered on it might leave you open to enemies in the Terminal or Control Tower. In other words, it’s best to clear the runway.
The trio of Lumber Yard Warehouses is filled with loot but can be tricky to navigate. If you get lost, remember where the main open bridge is – towards the east – and make your way over there.
Multiple parked trains within the Train Station could contain plenty of loot, and otherwise serve as great cover pieces. While keeping mind of your exposure to the outside through the open windows and doors, be prepared for close-quarters fights with fellow train surfers within the narrow train cars.
