The Base Camp near the Living Quarters has plenty of tents and portable stations to take cover within from those on top of the Surveillance Tower, Prison Block, or on top of the Living Quarters buildings. They also may contain Supply Boxes and various loadout items, making it a worthwhile stop as you head up the island.
Tip #05
Back to the Lab Again
The Bioweapons Lab tends to be a hot drop due to its verticality and abundance of loot. Fighting your way here after an infil? Try working up the cliffs from the Chemical Engineering Factory and sneaking around up the side stairwell.
Tip #13
Ascension 7… 15… 1…
The exterior ascenders found around the Prison Block offer quick ways to reach its roof. Have a few pesky snipers taken residence up here? Use these orange ziplines to get on their level and bring them back down to earth.
Tip #10
One Packed Penitentiary
It’s no secret that the Prison Block will be the focal point for action on Rebirth Island, only getting less popular if the circle decides to roll over it. Expect flanks from all sides within this massive complex, knowing your loadout’s strengths to deal with threats in whatever floor you fight through.
Tip #19
Confusion on the Assembly Line
Other than the Prison Block, the Factory is the most complex area on Rebirth Island given the number of entry points on all its floors. Listen closely to footsteps that may be from levels above and below you, and prepare to strike with a close-quarters weapon when navigating this tricky interior layout.
Tip #07
A Scenic Trip Up the West Coast
Rebirth Island’s west road from the Construction Site past the Harbor up to the Bioweapons Lab is less busy than the east in terms of structure. Consider travelling up and down here to potentially find some leftover Supply Boxes, especially if the vehicles and Buy Stations don’t appear along this road.
Tip #17
Somebody’s Watching Me
Other than the Water Tower, the Surveillance Tower is one of the more popular sniping locales on the map, as it has commanding views over the Prison Block and most of the island’s southern half. If you spot a light shining from this structure, take cover; that’s the bright glint from a sniper scope rather than its beacon.
Tip #01
King of the Hill
Rebirth Island is filled with uneven terrain; its highest elevation point is at its center, with the Security Area, Factory, and Docks all located barely above sea level. During any and all infiltrations, know that fighting uphill will often leave your squad at a disadvantage, so plan those drops accordingly.
Tip #08
Engineering a Longshot
The fourth floor of the Chemical Engineering Office has two windows facing south, both of which are great for counter-sniping players on the Water Tower and Prison Block. One of them also avoids a large tree and offers a direct line of sight to the top of the Surveillance Tower, which might be useful for those looking to hit an extreme longshot.
Tip #12
Cell Inspection
Although it may seem trivial, learning which cells are open in each hallway within the Prison Block can help your squad build your loadouts up in the early game and, more importantly, prevent ambushes. The cells are just big enough to fit an Operator, making them prime for close-quarters combatants squatting in wait for an unsuspecting target.
