The various structures in the Junkyard don’t have verticality, save for the Comms Tower. It can give you incredible sights over most of Verdank’s West side but will leave you with little cover... Be sure to coordinate with your teammates if you decide to take the climb up here.
If you want to potentially get the jump on players at the Dam or other points northwest, skip them and land towards Riverside. With it being at a less extreme location on the map and having plenty of buildings for loot opportunities, your squad could set some ambushes for enemies sprinting towards a safe zone.
Rural areas sometimes have trees, rocks, and hills that can conceal movement patterns or act as cover. When there are little houses or other structures around, use the natural environment to your advantage.
The circle collapse doesn’t exist in Plunder, allowing you to explore all of Verdansk without fear – or at least, only with the fear of enemy players. Seek out the far-flung locales in this game mode, and you may be rewarded with untouched Supply Boxes.
Multiple Downtown buildings, such as the Verdansk Museum of Contemporary Art and XK Architects Tower, have extremely complex interiors. Be sure to check every dead end and office to maximize your loot earning potential, or to possibly find enemy stragglers in hiding.
The Deployable Shield and Trophy System are two excellent Field Upgrades for protecting squadmates from bullets and non-bullet projectiles respectively. These may be especially helpful when trying to revive a downed teammate; throw one of these down, and you may buy yourself enough time for the revive.
The Mini Map and Compass are two of the biggest pieces of reconnaissance technology in the game – and they come standard on your HUD. Use them to call out enemies – e.g. “two snipers at 90 degrees/East/90” – or plan your next move. Also, look on the bottom of the Compass to see the name of the location you are currently in, which can also help with navigation and call outs in combination with our map.
The Superstore has multiple open shelves, both at ground level and above, which can make for some unique engagement opportunities. If you sense that an enemy is within the store, it doesn’t hurt to check every aisle, or use a tool that can give recon such as a UAV or Heartbeat Sensor.
