Because the Control Tower, Terminal, and Atlas Superstore could be hotly contested zones, it may be wise to forgo them when dropping in – if you see plenty of parachutes opening over them, that is – and aiming for something in the Airport Maintenance section, which has plenty of points of interest to explore.
Just because you are eliminated from the fight does not mean you’re out. Fight in the Gulag or root for teammates to redeploy you. It could be the difference between a crushing loss and the ultimate comeback victory.
Although the Verdnask Processing Warehouse, as well as an Apartment and Office, are outside of the actual Verdansk Hospital, they are still a part of the Hospital area. If your squad is dropping in and seeing the Hospital fill up quickly, it’s not a bad idea to call an audible and land in either of these two locations.
If getting to the ground as quickly as possible is important – i.e. you want to beat enemies to a loot drop or a team firefight is happening – try pointing your Operator down to the ground during a free-fall and deploying your parachute at a lower altitude.
Most sniper rifles come equipped with high-powered scopes, even if they don’t have an optic attachment. High-magnification scopes can be used to see far distances, which is great for scouting ahead for enemies or traps.
The Swimming Pool could have some loot lying at the bottom, but it’s not without risk. If you come here as a group, it may be wise to have one player take the dive, and the others on lookout from the pool deck.
Pay close attention to your HUD for additional button prompts, lest you miss a grenade icon and get blown to bits. Furthermore, when your HUD flashes red, it means you are taking damage; the direction of where these red flashes come from indicate where you are taking fire from. Use this to take proper cover and call out enemies.
Inside the Zordaya Prison Complex is an intricate network of cells. There is an abundance of Supply Boxes and other goodies inside, but it can be complicated to get in – and out – of the area. Make sure those pings and comms are on point before your squad ventures into here.
Most SMGs have hip-fire spreads that are more accurate than nearly all other weapons, especially when it is outfitted with hip-fire benefitting attachments such as a Laser. In situations when there is no time to ADS, don’t be afraid to fire from the hip.
