Welcome to Zombies Survival on Vandorn Farm. If you’re new to Call of Duty®: Black Ops Round-Based Zombies, this and the Zombies Training Course are great ways to learn the ropes and get your feet wet with fighting the undead, especially in Black Ops 7. For those experienced in Zombies gameplay, the basics will come to you naturally. However, being restricted to one confined location may take some clever strategizing and skill to reach high-round gameplay. You can also jump into the Zombies Training Course in the Beta if you’re entirely new to the mode!
Survival works in mostly the same way as Standard Round-Based Zombies, however the main difference is that players are restricted to one location from a larger Round-Based Map (in this case, Vandorn Farm from Ashes of the Damned) and are forced to survive with the resources available here. Certain things will be different than Standard, such as some of the placements of certain machines and upgrades, but you are provided everything you should need to survive.
In Survival, there are no quests to tackle, no Easter Eggs to track down, and no frills. Unlike Ashes of the Damned — the massive Round-Based Map at launch packed with secrets and story intel to discover, as well as an intricate Main Quest — Survival on Vandorn Farm is solely focused on you and your squad surviving against the horde for as long as possible!
During the Beta you will have access to the Beta MP Operators, however on Launch you’ll be able to play as anyone from the combined Zombies Crew while playing Zombies Survival.
During the Beta, you are given complimentary GobbleGums that are only available to you in Survival during the Beta. Be sure to use them and learn how they work, especially the new ones detailed here. These will not affect your Black Ops 6 or Black Ops 7 GobbleGum inventories.

The basics: Survival is where mastering the basics and essentials from any Zombies mode comes in handy. You can’t run from the horde forever, so it’s down to getting your upgrades in a consistent manner and following through with some quick thinking in order to survive the onslaught. Don’t forget to look around for traps like the Blade Trap, which can help you survive in dire situations.
Learn a route: There isn’t much room to kite large zombie hordes, but there is always a route out of immediate danger. Just start moving before it’s too late. Use the elevation of the barn and ground level to give zombies some distance to travel when hunting you down to buy you some time.
Upgrade when possible: One of the most important things to remember is that each round will make the game harder, which means there’s no time to slow down your upgrading process. Even if you need to leave a single zombie running around to purchase some upgrades, do it quick. Hit the Pack-a-Punch, increase the rarity of your weapon at the Arsenal, stock up on Perk-a-Colas, and replenish your supplies, because you’re going to need it all.
