Due to its size, Rebirth Island is prime for multi-party engagements, particularly when playing the Resurgence game mode where respawns can lead to lone wolves diving back in for revenge. If your squad does not want to get overwhelmed, try waiting for fights in progress to settle, then pick off the remaining survivors and collect the spoils of war for yourselves.
Tip #19
Confusion on the Assembly Line
Other than the Prison Block, the Factory is the most complex area on Rebirth Island given the number of entry points on all its floors. Listen closely to footsteps that may be from levels above and below you, and prepare to strike with a close-quarters weapon when navigating this tricky interior layout.
Tip #06
Recon for Decon
Contrary to most buildings, the Decon (short for Decontamination) Zone is less skewed toward CQB weapons, as the main shower area has plenty of unobstructed space. Weapons that do well at mid-range, such as assault rifles, are better suited inside this complex, especially when fighting those firing down through the skylights.
Tip #03
Circling the DZ
If your squad gets a helicopter, know that the map’s boundaries stretch out a few dozen meters off the shore. Flying out over the water could offer some unique sightlines for a sniper to pick enemies off buildings. However, should your helicopter go out of commission, prepare to aim for land.
Tip #11
Prison Break-In
Need a less conspicuous way into the Prison Block? Head to where the Shore is marked on your Tac Map to find a tunnel into its basement. You’ll pop up right in the Showers area, which has a staircase up to the main cell block where plenty of action can take place.
Tip #14
Always on Time
The Tram shuttles constantly between the top of the Prison Block and a Dockside platform, making it an unconventional sniping location up the island’s east side. However, know that the predictable movement pattern, and the lack of doors and windows, could leave you a sitting duck for trained marksmen looking for a quick pick.
Tip #20
Sparse on Security
Because it’s at sea level and far from most structures, the Security Area could shake out to be a less popular drop point. If the final circle falls far from here and a helicopter cannot be found, consider coming here to clean up on Supply Boxes and loadout items in exchange for a long trip up to more active zones.
Tip #07
A Scenic Trip Up the West Coast
Rebirth Island’s west road from the Construction Site past the Harbor up to the Bioweapons Lab is less busy than the east in terms of structure. Consider travelling up and down here to potentially find some leftover Supply Boxes, especially if the vehicles and Buy Stations don’t appear along this road.
Tip #12
Cell Inspection
Although it may seem trivial, learning which cells are open in each hallway within the Prison Block can help your squad build your loadouts up in the early game and, more importantly, prevent ambushes. The cells are just big enough to fit an Operator, making them prime for close-quarters combatants squatting in wait for an unsuspecting target.
Tip #18
Tentative Hideout
The Base Camp near the Living Quarters has plenty of tents and portable stations to take cover within from those on top of the Surveillance Tower, Prison Block, or on top of the Living Quarters buildings. They also may contain Supply Boxes and various loadout items, making it a worthwhile stop as you head up the island.
