Squad Gun Game Limited-Time Mode
General
Squads earn points through eliminations, advancing to the next weapon tier every five eliminations, with the first team to cycle through all 10 weapons claiming victory.
Unlimited ammo and armor plates keep the action focused on combat, while eliminated players respawn after 10 seconds.
Surviving squadmates are revealed when a player is eliminated, and the gas circle periodically shifts to create new combat hotspots throughout the match.

GENERAL
Returning
- Champion’s Quest
- Champion’s Quest returns with a new multi-step objective chain designed to challenge the most skilled squads. Players can gain access by winning five consecutive Core Battle Royale matches or 30 total matches within a single season.
- Eligible squads must secure the Champion’s Contract from a designated contract briefcase during a match to activate the quest. From there, they’ll complete a series of objectives across the map, including transporting a radioactive isotope, recovering a hard drive, and escorting a missile transport vehicle to randomized destinations.
- Randomized objective locations, public events, and match-wide visibility turn the quest into a server-wide battle.
- As the quest unfolds, enemy squads can contest objectives and intercept carriers. Successfully stealing a key item from a CQ squad and extracting it at a designated helipad will reward your squad with a CQ token for a future match.
- Once a squad has claimed the world-first achievement, the Golden Ticket public event system will unlock, creating rare, alternative opportunities to earn progress towards a CQ token.
- Accumulating multiple Champion’s Quests victories will result in even more rewards, including:
- 1 Completion: “Containment Crew — Alpha” Weapon Camo, “Axia” Grimm Animated Operator Skin
- 2 Completions: “Darkly Dreaming” Animated Calling Card
- 3 Completions: “Nuke Core” Animated Emblem
- 4 Completions: “Death Filter” Spray
- 5 Completions: “Containment Crew — Omega” Weapon Camo
- 6 Completions: “Gamma Stick” Flatline MK.II Melee Weapon Blueprint
- 7 Completions: “Critical Mess” Finishing Move
- 8 Completions: “Axia’s Wrath — Alpha” Animated Weapon Camo
- 9 Completions: “Ion the Ball” Emote
- 10 Completions: “Axia’s Wrath — Omega” Animated Weapon Camo
- & more…
Our team is incredibly excited to deliver the next chapter of Champion’s Quest. Since its introduction, it has become one of Warzone’s most memorable experiences, and the success of the previous iteration gave us the opportunity to continue evolving the formula in new ways. With this version, we wanted Champion’s Quest to feel more like a match-wide event that the entire lobby can engage with. The new randomized, multi-phase structure also creates more opportunities for players to track and disrupt an active run. We also wanted to reward that participation, which is why we've introduced additional ways to progress toward earning a Champion’s Quest contract through that disruption. Our goal is to preserve the challenge and prestige of Champion’s Quest while creating more meaningful player interactions, more ways to earn the contract, and more reasons for everyone in the lobby to get involved. We can't wait to see how players enjoy this new experience!

GAMEPLAY
Adjusted
» All Modes «
- Supply Boxes Disabled in Gas
- Players can no longer interact with Supply Boxes located deep within the gas.
Looting deep in the gas was creating unintended gameplay patterns and disproportionately rewarding players who remained outside the playable area. This change places greater emphasis on positioning and encourages squads to contest resources within active combat zones.
- Deep-in-Gas Dynamic Grace Distance
- The distance at which players are considered "deep in the gas" now scales based on the current circle.
- Circle 1: 40m (unchanged)
- Circle 2: 30m
- Circle 3 and later: 25m
- The distance at which players are considered "deep in the gas" now scales based on the current circle.
Early circles allow more flexibility when rotating through the gas, while later circles are intended to demand greater urgency and commitment. Dynamically scaling the grace distance better reflects the pace of each match phase and helps reduce excessive gas play during endgame scenarios.
- Redeployment Orientation Quality of Life
- Players redeploying near teammates positioned close to the gas will now face toward the safe zone rather than toward the gas.
- Adjusted redeploy orientation so players face more directly toward the ground when returning to the match.
Redeploying near teammates positioned along the edge of the gas could leave players disoriented or facing away from the playable area. These changes improve situational awareness and help players quickly identify rotation opportunities after respawning. Facing players more directly toward the ground also reduces the time required to orient themselves and begin their descent. Our goal is to ensure players remain on the same paige when redeploying to the field, regardless of where their squad is positioned.
» Battle Royale & Resurgence «
- Hotzone Loot
- Hotzones across all maps now have a chance to spawn a Gas Mask as ground loot.
- Hotzones across all maps, excluding Rebirth Island, now have an increased chance to contain Legendary Supply Crates.
- Haven's Hollow has an additional increased chance for Legendary Supply Crates to appear.
- To offset these improvements, the overall number of Legendary Supply Crates outside of Hotzones has been slightly reduced.
Hotzones are intended to serve as high-risk, high-reward areas. These changes improve the quality of rewards available within Hotzones while concentrating valuable loot into contested locations rather than distributing it evenly across the map. Our goal is to maintain overall match economy balance while creating more meaningful incentives to engage with Hotzones. Rebirth Island has been intentionally excluded from these changes, as we're currently satisfied with its pacing and economy. We'll continue monitoring player engagement and expect additional Hotzone-related updates in future releases.
» Battle Royale «
- Dynamic Gulag Wait Times Quality of Life
- Players waiting in the Gulag without finding an opponent will now receive a free redeploy faster as the match progresses.
- Circle 1: 95 seconds (unchanged)
- Circle 2: 65 seconds
- Circle 3 and later: 45 seconds
- Players waiting in the Gulag without finding an opponent will now receive a free redeploy faster as the match progresses.
With current match pacing, the number of players in the Gulag decreases rapidly during the later stages of a match, often resulting in extended wait times. This adjustment reduces downtime and helps players return to the action more quickly. We'll continue monitoring feedback and performance following this change.
BUY STATIONS
Adjusted
» Battle Royale «
- Killstreaks
- RC-XD replaces Smoke Screen
- RC-XD in Buy Station:
- $4,000
- Stock: 1
Adjusted
- Munitions Box
- Improved interaction prompt positioning for better accessibility.
- Items from deployed Munition Boxes now spawn 12% farther away.
In crowded spaces, items from a Munitions Box could be difficult to access or become obstructed by nearby loot. These adjustments improve item visibility and accessibility, making resupplying more reliable during high-intensity engagements.
Adjusted
- Point Turret
- Reduced target acquisition range from 25m to 18m.
- Increased target acquisition delay from 0.3 seconds to 1 second.
- Reduced the maximum number of simultaneously deployed Point Turrets from 2 to 1.
Point Turrets were providing too much area denial with limited counterplay, particularly in close-quarters combat environments. These changes are intended to make turret placement more deliberate, provide opponents with additional time to react, and reduce situations where multiple turrets could effectively lock down an area.
- Stims
- Reduced health regeneration by 40% while inside the gas.
Stims were allowing players to survive in the gas for extended periods and enabling strategies that circumvented intended circle pressure. Reducing their effectiveness while in the gas reinforces the importance of positioning while preserving their utility during combat.
- Grappling Hook
- Reduced maximum movement speed by 15%.
- Reduced early-detach vertical speed boost by 25%.
- Reduced early-detach momentum retention from 75% to 70%.
- Reduced early-detach maximum speed by 25%.
We've heard feedback from across the community that the Grappling Hook was enabling highly aggressive movement and allowing players to reposition with limited risk. While previous adjustments to Surveyor helped address some of these concerns, we are not satisfied with the Grappling Hook's current impact on combat balance. These changes preserve its mobility utility while reducing some of its more extreme speed and momentum interactions. We will continue monitoring feedback and gameplay data as players adapt to these adjustments.
