Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Tac Map

PLAZA

Prebrief

Nightclub bar labeled “LUNA,” with colored lights, bottles on shelves, and lounge seating around the room.

First introduced in Black Ops 2 Plaza returns in remastered form for the first time since 2012. With the addition of Wall Jumping and the updated arsenal of Black Ops 7, this is Plaza like you’ve never seen before.

Battle across the outer Mall and through the Concourse as fireworks burst in the night sky. In the center, engage in fierce fights over the iconic stairwell, rising to an upper platform on both sides, grenades flying as Operators seek to damage enemies on the other side.

Explore the luxurious interior locations of the Colossus Resort, including the popular Luna Nightclub alongside high-end shops, the extravagant Red Bar, and other staples of the rich life at sea.

Plaza Intel

Armed soldiers exchange gunfire inside the LUNA nightclub, taking cover behind the bar as a body lies on the floor.

1. Fanatic flanks — Plaza gives Operators plenty of options when it comes to finding a flanking route. Whether it be through the outside and taking the long flank, or through the Club, there is always a choice on how to get to any point or objective.

2. Echo Unit entry — One of the strongest uses of the Echo Unit in modes like Hardpoint or Domination is when you’re using it to act as another body on the hill. Because of how Plaza is oriented, there’s often an opportunity to toss an Echo Unit over the wall or around a hard corner to start the contest before you enter, or as you enter in the other direction. This will keep the enemy on their heels even when they feel they have the advantage.

3. High ground hijinks — There are a few ways to gain the high ground on the enemy team, whether it be the top of the stairs in the Concourse or one of the two stores that overlook each spawn. These are incredibly powerful positions if they’re held as a team. If you’re alone and in attempts to regroup with your teammates, you may want to try and avoid these areas. Once you’ve taken control of one of them though, setting up SAM Turrets, Drone Pods, Tactical Insertions, and Scramblers are extremely useful Field Upgrades to really disrupt the enemy team’s flow.

Advanced Map Tips

Courtyard/Patio Counter — Alpha (A)

Futuristic plaza at night with angular buildings, “J’NO” sign, and a red sculpture in a lit courtyard.

There are two major points where the map converges around the main POIs: the Courtyard and the Patio. With art structures installed in the center of both locations, enemies on the same level plane can be tripped up if you use the structure to cut off sightlines. However, it is difficult to stay in cover from elevated positions like the Gele or the Selda, so use this crossroads location and use it fast. Both the Concourse and the Club serve as focus points whereas the Courtyard and Patio can relieve some of the pressure on those positions. Use them to get out of danger but keep your head on a swivel.

Royals on the Roof — Beta (B)

Overhead view of a geometric shopping complex with glowing paths and a “Shopping Mall” sign in the distance.

To take control of a point, it’s often a better idea to secure the power positions around it. On Plaza, there are two important power positions that provide strong overwatch for VTOL and Mall. The rooftops of the Selda and the Gele cover both of these positions. It’s also important to note that they overlook two of the major crossroads, Patio and Courtyard. There is a downside to spending too much time on the roof; once the enemy knows you’re up there, they will come after you with everything they’ve got. But if that’s something you’re prepared for, this is a very strong position to cover your teammates from and gain a few powerful Scorestreaks.

Pick and Roll — Gamma (Γ)

Neon-lit nightclub interior with a curved bar, green backlighting, and a poster reading “BEYOND THE ORDINARY.”

Plaza is a highly dynamic map, which means there are a lot of ways to get around a dangerous position. Use these paths to stick and move against the enemy. In the center and on the western side of the map, throwables can get over the walls and you can use this information to get explosives in places you’re not quite able to get to right away. This will allow you to not only keep the enemy guessing where you’re positioned, but also to slow down enemy players from trying to avoid your pursuit.
