Prebrief

Descend on a fractured Los Angeles freeway suspended above the city as JSOC confronts a Guild ambush in this twisted Multiplayer map made for 6v6 and 2v2 encounters.

Battle along the main road through the Chasm and fight for every inch forward, or attempt a flanking attack through the upside-down Tower or physics-defying Helix. Use your movement skills to squeeze out every advantage, whether that’s Wall Jumping along the freeway, across a flickering screen up to a ledge, or just to gain some height going into your next attack. In this map reminiscent of The Battle of Los Angeles in Black Ops 2, the sky’s the limit.

Torque Intel

1. Scout it out: Equip a combination of Red and Blue Perks to access the Scout Hybrid Combat Specialty, keeping your Operator hidden from enemy minimaps for five seconds after any bullet elimination. Without the need for Ghost, you can equip Lightweight in the Perk 1 slot, giving you a vital speed boost greatly improving your effectiveness on this small-sized map.

2. Cradle rising: The Cradle mist rising off the rooftops of several vehicles is a telltale sign that you can’t access the top, though they still make good launching points for Wall Jumps, helping you get the drop on nearby foes.

3. Gadget up: Area-of-effect Field Upgrades like Scrambler and Squad Link work great in Maintenance and Tower, their range covering the entire interior of both areas. Equip the Prepper Wildcard to bring them both into the field at once.

Advanced Map Tips

Maintenance Ambush — Alpha (A)

The Maintenance room north of Chasm is an ideal ambush point with server cabinets filling a space perfect for close quarters combat. Shotguns are the play here, as targets will be well within their effective range. Just watch the side openings, where players outside have a longer view in. If you plan on staying put, bring some combination of Flak Jacket, Tech Mask, and a Trophy System to minimize the danger of incoming throwables.

Off-ramp Attack — Beta (B)

When the action’s too hot on the main roads, try cutting them off near the transition points along the top and bottom routes, like the off-ramp by Motorhome. Use these areas to catch enemies off guard where they least expect it; targets often rush through these spots on the way to their next destination.

Trailer Fight — Gamma (Γ)

Set your sights on foes moving through Helix from the west-side Trailer. Its open rear doors face the armored car platform and the ledge behind the Acropolis National Bank while the side door faces the Fire Truck spawn. Climb up on the pallet here for a covered view down Helix and into the busted-open side of Maintenance.
