A mysterious signal draws JSOC to Colossus, a luxury island in the Caribbean Sea now sinking into the ocean. Players first visited Colossus in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2 during the “Karma” Campaign mission before the floating city became a derelict wasteland.
Fight down three primary lanes, from the once-opulent Atrium to the outer Wreckage at sea. Exchange long-range fire down these two lengthy outer lanes or duke it out in the large Maintenance and Loading Bay areas down the middle, connected via Overlook with views over three major points on the map.
1. Overlook overwatch: The Overlook power position at the map’s center provides incredible views over Maintenance, Loading Bay, and the Atrium. Mount your weapon on the low walls to up your defense and accuracy and use all available intel to help anticipate incoming threats.
2. Extend your reach: The outer lanes both feature long sightlines from end to end. Look for Barrel Attachments that extend your weapon’s damage range to help dish out the pain on distant targets, even on weapons more suited to closer fights.
3. Look up: The former residents of the luxury island were treated to constant sunlight with huge windowpanes overhead and along the sides of the Atrium. These openings leave room for Scorestreaks to get inside and equally provide you with the chance to fire your Launcher in response.
While the other Operators are fighting for control of the central Overlook, consider moving a floor down into Security. The area totally circumvents the middle lane with a direct path between Lifeboat and Atrium. Use the area to pivot between the two outer lanes, landing shots on one side before turning back to the other. Heads up! Passing through the Security checkpoint means players in both Maintenance and Loading Bays will be able to see your Operator’s skeletal outline via the X-Ray scanner monitoring system.
Forget the stairs when making your way up to the balcony in the Loading Bay or Maintenance. The footprints on the white wall opposite the staircase indicate a Wall Jump opportunity. When you need to get up fast, this is your best route. The same tactic goes for the Atrium balcony, accessible via Wall Jump or via the ramp facing the balcony.
Hop up on the yellow crates here and mount your weapon for a powerful view past the Lifeboat and down toward Container. The slight elevation makes all the difference, giving you the advantage against enemies on the ground. Duck down and check the opening toward Maintenance now and then, the biggest threat to your position.
