Celebrate the history of Nuketown as Operators enter the Nuketown Turbo Era Rampage pinball machine hosted by Archie Atom. This fun-sized map is packed with callouts to the infamous cul-de-sac, including the Bus, a view from the House, the desert landscape, and the blast itself in the center where a mushroom cloud rises over action. 

Fire at interactive targets, set off the Flippers, and watch out for pinballs bowling over Operators caught on the Track. From your scaled down perspective, marvel at the guts of the machine as you battle between open play spaces and the mechanisms running the game. In this homage to Nuketown, prepare for constant battle, using the map’s ramps, bumpers, and other features to stay ahead of the competition and reach that high score.

Freerun: Descent

New Course

“As early volunteers for the training program, you have a unique opportunity to prove your skills to the Guild. Finish before your competition if you wish to make a lasting impression.” — Dr. Atwood

There’s no rest for the weary as The Guild introduces a second Freerun obstacle course, in this case challenging Operators on a timed descent across seven zones with multiple checkpoints.

Each course run pits a team of ten Operators in a race to the finish, with every zone presenting its own unique challenges. From Wall Jumps to slides, Wingsuit sections, target training, Grappling Gun segments, and more, players must prove their total mastery over every obstacle. To keep the action moving, look for boost pads, portals, and shortcuts, anything to get ahead.

Operators who fall off the course will acquire a fault and respawn at their last obtained checkpoint. Balance speed with precision to keep your total number of faults low, especially when going for the “Gridlock” Universal Weapon Camo. See the full list of course rewards below.

Freerun: Descent Course Rewards:

• Complete the Freerun: Descent course three times to earn the “Eyes on Screen” Emblem and 1,000 XP.
• Collect all Ciphers in Freerun: Descent to earn the “Catch Air” Weapon Charm and 2,500 XP.
• Finish the Freerun: Descent course in under 12 minutes with fewer than 10 faults to earn the “Gridlock” Universal Weapon Camo and 5,000 XP.

Compete for additional rewards in the Mid-Season Freerun: Descent Challenge Event — including two additional Weapon Camos, a Weapon Charm, Weapon Blueprint, and more — detailed in the Season 05 Reloaded Events section found below in the General Content section of this blog.

Cranked Moshpit

Returning LTM

Your life ends when the timer does in Cranked, the action-packed game mode where eliminating enemies activates Cranked mode, awarding Operator buffs while setting the timer in motion. Keep slaying and playing the objective to add more time. Hit zero and you explode.

Earn the following buffs for reaching killstreak milestones in each life:

1-streak: Increased Movement and reduced Field Upgrade Recharge

2-streak: Improved Hip Fire Accuracy and Increased Sprint to Fire

3-streak: Increased ADS and Weapon Swap speed

4-streak: Increased Reload Speed and Equipment Refill on Kill

5-streak: Increased Score and Headshot Damage

Obtain the double score buff earned at a 5-streak to skyrocket toward high-level Scorestreaks. Pummel the other team across a rotating playlist of objective modes including Cranked Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and Demolition.

Everything has led to this point, but does the crew have what it takes to finish the job and save reality? Answer the call to find out. There’s little known about Rex Infernus. Here’s what we’ve learned so far:

Rex Infernus: New Enemy: Deathspinner

Prepare for a tough fight when Deathspinners approach.  These deadly creatures move quickly, strike fast, and use numbers to overwhelm the crew. They can also use a ranged web projectile that slows affected crew members. One on one, they’re not so bad, but watch out when they swarm.

Rex Infernus: New Elite Enemy: Web Mother

If you think Deathspinners are frightening, wait until you run into the Web Mother. Try to keep your wits about you as the Web Mother screams and lunges, using copious amounts of webbing to damage and slow the crew while cocooning zombies transforming them into environmental hazards.

Rex Infernus: Titan Trap

Draws in nearby zombies and smashes them to pieces.

Pummel the enemy with the Titan Trap, calling upon the powerful force to slam their fists into the ground, damaging and disrupting zombies caught in the impact. Get out of the way fast when activating this trap or risk getting damaged by the Titan’s flurry hits.  

Rex Infernus: New Main Quest, Quest Rewards, and Challenges

The Main Quest for Rex Infernus will be available for play when the map releases with Season 05 Reloaded on August 20 at 9:00 AM PT. Complete the Main Quest to earn the following:

• The “Bloodthorn” Wonder Weapon Skin, Calling Card, and 10,000 XP.
• Obtain the necessary Intel (Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts) to earn another Calling Card and 10,000 XP.
• Players who complete the Main Quest before Directed Mode arrives for this map will also earn a unique Calling Card variant.

Complete the Rex Infernus Mastery Challenge to earn an Animated Calling Card and 10,000 XP. Each map challenge awards XP and a static Calling Cards upon completion.

Rex Infernus: Cursed Mode, New Pack-a-Punch Camos

Prove you have what it takes to defeat the Warden’s horde in even the most difficult situations with Cursed mode on Rex Infernus, offering no Main Quest guidance and a limited HUD and starting Pistol.

New Perk-a-Cola: Widow’s Wine

Instantly upgrade your current weapon to Pack-a-Punch Level III with a bite of the Fully Packed Ultra GobbleGum.

Zombies: Upgrade your current weapon to Pack-a-Punch Level III.

Dead Ops Arcade: Receive a Tactical Armor Vest or a full complement of armor plates.

New Ultra-Rarity Mystery Box Weapons

Take on the final battle with the aid of two new Ultra-Rarity Legacy Weapons arriving in the Rex Infernus Mystery Box! Eliminate the undead from afar with the hard-hitting TR2 Marksman Rifle and shred them up close with the Olympia Shotgun. Each weapon features stats rivaling that of a Wonder Weapon, including full Pack-a-Punch progression and Ammo Mod capabilities.

Call of Duty®: Warzone™ Content 

Keep rocking out with the continuation of the Heavy Metal Heroes LTM throughout the Mid-Season. Drop into the map with a full starting Loadout and engage in constant squad pressure and vehicular chaos around every corner. Get in the driver’s seat of the Light Heli, Armed JLTV, Tanks, and the Razorback. Earn powerful buffs for eliminating enemies but keep the streak alive or watch your power fade away.

Featuring increased respawn tokens and a shortened revive timer, Heavy Metal Heroes keeps the action fast paced with heated vehicle combat in an action-packed survival setting where the last squad standing wins. Take risks, keep pushing, and don’t let off the gas pedal. 

Loaded Resurgence

Resurgence Maps, 44 Players

Drop into Rebirth Island, Haven’s Hollow, and Fortune’s Keep with your custom Loadout weapons equipped from the start and during redeploys. Perks, however, can only be earned through eliminations. Rack up enough kills to unlock the Specialist Perk and gain a powerful advantage as the match progresses.

Reduce your squad’s redeployment time in Resurgence with the Quickdrop Kit and earn new Weapon Camos by shooting down the Special Delivery Drone.

Heavy metal projectiles are accelerated to lethal velocity through a series of electromagnetic coils. Silently fires two projectiles at once with improved ballistics but harms overall handling and mobility.
