A favorite map of casual and competitive players alike, Standoff has been remastered for Black Ops 7 in a faithful representation of the map first introduced in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 2.
Engage in fierce street fighting along the Main Road where tanks and a flaming tower signal the start of hostilities. For a better view, head to the upper Hostel, Store, and House, or opt for a sneakier route through Graveyard Alley and the Backyard. Standoff has stood the test of time because every playstyle can dominate in the right hands. Now with the addition of next-level Omnimovement, players will discover new Wall Jump routes around the map with fresh opportunities to surprise their opponents. Find the areas where you excel and rack up eliminations.
1. Proving grounds: Standoff’s balanced design allows all playstyles to prosper, making it a good practice arena for new Loadouts or Loadout adjustments. If you can’t make it work here, go back to the drawing board.
2. Clear the air: Aerial streaks can inflict a lot of damage here. Consider bringing a Launcher or equipping the Flyswatter Wildcard to keep the skies clear of enemy threats and rack up additional Score in the process. Standoff is large enough that there’s usually a nook you can find nearby to fire off a missile or two before refocusing on the ground.
3. Bad internet: Equip the Scrambler Field Upgrade to disrupt enemy Equipment, Field Upgrades, Scorestreaks, and minimaps. Shut down areas like the Hostel, Store, and House, disorienting enemies attempting to take advantage of the map’s strongest vantage points.
Avoid the traffic on the Main Road with a detour through Graveyard Alley. Running from the Gas Station to the House, this out-of-the-way passage circumvents the center for an alternate route across the map. Step into the Diner to attack from the ground floor or hop into the second story House to shoot from above.
Of the major power positions over the Main Road, the Store is the most formidable. Its two windows provide a clear view over the center of the map with a secondary vantage point looking toward the Warehouse. Cover all three sides of the Main Road from here, racking up score for your next streak.
The Backyard is the perfect shortcut for flanking enemies on the Main Road and for leading enemies to their deaths. When being pursued, disappear behind the walled-in square and turn the tables on them as they struggle to pinpoint your location.
