ALERT! Reports of an imminent attack from within Verdansk Stadium threaten to significantly overturn the balance of power in the region and beyond. Respond immediately. [UPDATING…]

[[UPDATE: AUGUST 18]]

Check Your Visuals: Embrace the Madness

Check your visuals, Operators. We’ve received multiple reports of a toxin found in supply crates around Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Identified by the red mist seeping out from their lids, these crates are said to contain a highly hallucinogenic compound affecting Operators investigating the contents.

Reports from the field indicate that affected Operators should not fight the visions. Observe your surroundings, follow the butterflies to see where they lead, and report back to base. Those who engage most deeply with the hallucination have reported the discovery of [[REDACTED]] and [[REDACTED]], both powerful accessories in the epic battles to come.

Warning for all affected Operators: Get a grip on yourself and embrace the madness, but don’t lose yourself to it.

ALERT! Last Chance for Rewards

ALERT! This is the final outgoing message to all Operators in the vicinity of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Engineers on the ground have determined the likely end date for the Menendez broadcasts and hallucinations connected to the strange crates, along with some respective rewards.

Operators seeking to engage in the event have until August 20 at 10AM PT.

With multiple reports coming in, we have confirmed the following:

Operators in proximity of the Menendez broadcast who watch the message will unlock the animated “World Crushing” Calling Card.

Those affected by hallucination crates who follow the vision and collect the required number of butterflies can earn two powerful rewards. Interact with five groups of butterflies to unlock the “Petri Melt” Finishing Move, giving you the power to command the red mist against your enemies.

Interact with [[REDACTED]] to unlock the animated “Prismatic” Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint, featuring custom Death FX inspired by the variable and disturbing hallucinations.

Embrace the Madness.

[[UPDATE: AUGUST 15]]

An enemy—once believed to be KIA—is apparently both alive and well, and broadcasting missives throughout Verdansk. Deploy immediately to witness the nefarious message.

Leader of a notorious terrorist network, Raul Menendez has returned with plans to spark fear among the public.

Broadcasts are being reported across Verdansk, described as a series of chilling threats played on repeat. Get boots on the ground and see it for yourself. Operators who witness the broadcast will be rewarded with [[REDACTED]].

Personnel Intel: Raul Menendez: "Messiah of the 99%"

Raul Menendez’s quest for vengeance first began in 1986 when the CIA greenlit a mission to capture him in his home in Nicaragua. In the heat of battle, Special Agent Frank Woods lobbed a grenade toward the cartel boss, accidentally killing Menendez’s sister Josefina in the blast.

Menendez was declared dead by the CIA, but doubts lingered. After reappearing and exacting his revenge on Woods in a twisted game of mistaken identity, Menendez escaped and went into hiding, building the network and capital required to launch a populist revolutionary movement masquerading as an organization fighting for the people.

Through his terror organization, Menendez wreaked havoc on global stability in the year 2025 with a series of devastating cyber-attacks. And now, he’s back for more.

[[PREVIOUS ALERT]]

Important Intel: Heightened Activity at

Verdansk Stadium

ALERT! Incoming priority message for all Operators:

Intel regarding rogue elements planning an imminent attack reveals the possible discovery of a hidden military base inside of the National Acropolis Arena, also known as the Verdansk Stadium. The secretive project ushered in by the rogue agents details a hidden missile prepared for launch, though exact timing of the attack is unknown.

Reports further indicate that the enemy controls a satellite-based weapon. Circumventing enemy access to this orbital strike might just be our ticket inside.

An elite team has been deployed to acquire more intel regarding this critical development, with additional instructions to hack the enemy satellite for our own use. Twenty-four hours have passed since our last contact with the team.

We’re not taking any chances, so we’re calling in all available Operators within the vicinity of Verdansk: Assemble and prepare to breach the Stadium. Mission failure is not an option.

Keep tabs on this missive in the days ahead. Expect possible updates as the situation evolves.

Hijack the Satellite

It’s now or never. Operators should prepare to infiltrate Verdansk Stadium and neutralize the enemy command center. It appears that hijacking the enemy satellite is our best chance at success, and an orbital strike should allow immediate and overwhelming access into the hidden base within the Stadium itself.

The team we’ve lost contact with were given a Decrypting Tool to hack the satellite relay module. Search the indicated area to retrieve it and prepare to engage the enemy if they discover the tool first. Once secured, locate the relay module and hijack the connection. Defend the AO against any forces attempting to shut down the operation. We’ve got multiple squads assigned to the objective, heightening our chances of activating the next phase of the mission: blasting a way into the Stadium.

Time is of the essence. The Satellite Hijack Contract is only available for a limited time—likely for a single week—so gear up and get ready to deploy. Expect further instructions within the warzone, our comms team is at the ready to lead you through the steps of this crucial mission.

Confirmed: Operators who complete this initial phase will be rewarded.

Infiltrate the Stadium Interior

The first stage of the mission was a success, but the real work is about to begin. The orbital strike launched from the hijacked satellite has ripped open a large entrance in the roof of Verdansk Stadium, leaving a sizeable hole providing aerial access to the interior. Operators are also encouraged to check whether ground-level infiltration points have unlocked.

Expect heavy resistance within. To help get your bearings prior to deployment, review the following Tactical Overview images and intel provided by advanced teams scouting the newly revealed point of interest.

Verdansk Stadium: Interior POI Overview

It appears the soccer pitch itself has been secretly transformed into an enemy weapon outpost of some kind, with a missile launch pad located centrally within the field, flanked by supporting structures to either side. Battle in the middle of the stadium with care, using cover and exploring the once-hidden base or take to the stands and concourse paths to fight from the perimeter.

Launch Pad

The missile rising from the central launch pad has taken damage but remains standing, a tiered ladder giving access to mini vantage points and ziplines extending toward Warehouses 01 and 02. Traverse the upper landing to engage enemies on the field and stands or find your way inside the base of the launch pad, forming a semicircle around the interior blast pad.

Warehouse 01

The open floor plan of Warehouse 01 provides scattered cover points with interior and exterior stairways leading to a wraparound walkway. An ascender in the corner of the walkway gives quick access to the rooftop. Climb up on the edge for a greater view and ride the zipline to the center rocket. Exterior stairwells and a long ladder also give access to the roof.

Warehouse 02 — Command Center

Watch your step around the blast site here: The molten scorch marks burn on contact and an entire corner of the Command Center structure has disintegrated in the orbital strike. The building features a more complex layout compared to the opposite Warehouse 01, with segmented rooms and an inner stairwell that climbs up to the roof.

The Stands

Track enemy movement from the edges of the Stadium interior by climbing up into the stands. There are more cover options on the lower level, while the upper levels forego cover in favor of greater sightlines over the area. Reaching the top tier requires a bit more effort, though an ascender found in the northwest concourse can help get you there.

Lower Concourse

Steer clear of the fight around the launch pad by moving through the lower concourse, accessible through the openings found along the first level of the stands. The oval-shaped pathway extends into long sightlines down the sides intermingled with restrooms, a bar, and concession stands. Move back toward the pitch through the dispersed openings, giving you the chance to engage enemies along multiple pathways.

Upper Concourse

While devoid of shops and restaurants, the upper concourse features stacked furniture, stadium maps, and other useful cover objects for much needed protection when moving through its expansive halls. Press the control panels by two of the rollup metal gates positioned along the upper stands to open or shut passage between the upper concourse and the top tier of the stands.

Get In, Get Rewarded

Secure and hold the [[REDACTED]] found within Verdansk Stadium to obtain a special reward for a limited time. Keep your eyes peeled; astute Operators may discover opportunities for additional rewards.
