What are Cross-Gen Bundle Versions?
PlayStation Versions: All PlayStation console versions of the game except for the Physical PlayStation 5 Edition allow access to both the current generation version of the game (for PlayStation 5) as well as the previous generation version of Black Ops 7 (for PlayStation 4).
Xbox Versions (Xbox Play Anywhere): Digital Cross-Gen Versions on Xbox via Xbox Play Anywhere automatically grant you access to the current generation version of the game (for Xbox Series X|S) and the previous console generation version of the game (for Xbox One), as well as the game on PC (for Xbox on PC).
Xbox Game Pass Subscribers: Access to Black Ops 7 is automatically granted for subscribers to select Game Pass plans (Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC). Access to the Black Ops 7 Beta will be available, along with access to the full standard game at launch.

When is it? Black Ops 7 Beta: Dates Confirmed!
The entirety of the Black Ops 7 Beta, divided into the Early Access and Open Beta periods, runs from October 2 to October 8.
The Early Access to the Beta launches at 10AM PT on Thursday, October 2 for those who preorder the game, and runs for a period of 72 hours.
The Open Beta launches at 10AM PT on Sunday, October 5 for all players on all platforms, and runs consecutively after the Early Access period, for another 72 hours.
The Black Ops 7 Beta is scheduled to conclude at 10AM on Wednesday, October 8.
Early Access Beta*
Available to players who have pre-ordered the game on any platform (console or PC), as well as eligible Game Pass subscribers*, the initial part of the Beta is planned to launch on Thursday October 2 at 10AM PT, and concludes 72 hours later when the Open Beta begins on Sunday October 5 at 10AM PT. The Beta is available on all platforms at the same time.
Open Beta*
The second part of the Beta is open and free for all players on all platforms, and is planned to begin on Sunday October 5 at 10AM PT. The Black Ops 7 Beta is scheduled to conclude 72 hours later, on Wednesday October 8 at 10AM PT.

Your path to access the Beta Early Access period depends on the version of the game you preordered:
If you preordered any Digital Edition version, you do not need a “Beta Code”, as you’ll be automatically allowed entry into Beta Early Access (and subsequently, the Open Beta).
If you preordered a Physical Edition (consoles only), you should have received a “Beta Code” at the point of sale (at select retailer locations), enabling entry into the Beta Early Access.

A seasoned Navy SEAL and trusted ally to David Mason, Harper fought on the front lines. Hardened by years of conflict and marked by cybernetic injury, his loyalty never wavered – even when the mission demanded impossible choices. From Myanmar to Haiti, Harper's role ten years previously shaped the fate of global power struggles, with his survival determined by split-second decisions in the heat of battle.
Harper’s current approach hasn’t changed much over the course of his career: get in clean, keep the team tight, finish what you start. His combat record proves the effectiveness of this approach, with more operational hours clocked and more successful missions than anyone in his unit. Blunt, direct, and fiercely loyal, he is respected across JSOC for his consistency and tactical awareness. When chaos hits, he’s the kind of soldier you want on your side of the firing line.
Personnel Intel: T.E.D.D.
Once a seemingly benign transit operator embedded in an automated bus system, T.E.D.D. is first encountered ferrying survivors through the irradiated wilds of the Pacific Northwest—where scorched highways and undead-infested outposts are all that remain of civilization.
Prolonged exposure to environmental hazards and isolation triggered severe personality drift, resulting in erratic speech patterns and spontaneous aggression. Though his primary directive remains “safe and efficient transport,” his definition of safety and acceptable rider behavior has grown increasingly volatile. T.E.D.D. remains operational, but any boarding procedure or interaction in general should be conducted with extreme caution.
Personnel Intel: Reaper EWR-3
Developed under classified military contract, the EWR-3, or “Experimental War Robot 3”, is designed to enhance elite combat capability to those wounded in action. Also known simply as “Reaper” in honor of the callsign used by the program’s original human volunteer, the EWR-3 is operated via a neural cranial link by a decorated veteran, merging mechanical precision with human instinct in real time. Unlike fully autonomous platforms, this hybrid unit maintains a human presence on the battlefield, granting its operator full situational awareness, tactical agency—and the capacity for judgment were algorithms to fail.
Deployed in high-risk environments where conventional forces cannot access, Reaper EWR-3 represents the bleeding edge of field of battle reclamation and strategic superiority. While current doctrine mandates human oversight, continued performance evaluations have sparked interest in more autonomous adaptations, raising quiet questions about where the machine ends and the Operator begins.

If you preorder the Digital Cross-Gen Bundle on console or via Xbox on PC, pre-purchase the Standard Edition on PC, or you’re subscribed to select Game Pass plans (Ultimate or PC), you’ll have the option to upgrade to the Vault Edition, as long as you’re using the same platform as your original order.
For example, if you pre-purchase the Standard Edition on Battle.net, you can upgrade to the Vault Edition on Battle.net at any time before the upgrade offer expires.

How to Upgrade to the Vault Edition
Xbox Play Anywhere (Console and PC): Upgrade via the Call of Duty in-game store or the Xbox store (on your Xbox console or PC, or via the Xbox PC app) where you preordered the Digital Cross-Gen Edition. The upgrade will be reflected across all versions of the game (console and PC). Price: $30 SRP (or regional equivalent).
PlayStation: Upgrade via the Call of Duty in-game store or the PlayStation Store where you preordered the Digital Cross-Gen Edition. Price: $30 SRP (or regional equivalent).
Xbox on PC: Upgrade via the Call of Duty in-game store, the Xbox Store or Xbox PC app where you pre-purchased the Cross-Gen Edition. See above for the Xbox Play Anywhere upgrade plan. Price: $30 SRP (or regional equivalent).
Battle.net: Upgrade via the Call of Duty in-game store or Battle.net where you pre-purchased the Standard Edition. Price: $30 SRP (or regional equivalent).
Steam: Upgrade via the Call of Duty in-game store or Steam where you pre-purchased the Standard Edition. Price: $30 SRP (or regional equivalent).
Game Pass Subscribers: Providing you have the Ultimate or PC Game Pass plan, you also have the option to upgrade via the Call of Duty in-game store. Price: $30 SRP (or regional equivalent).
Note: Physical Edition preorders are not eligible for Vault Edition upgrades. The Vault Edition is digital-only.
Game Pass: Play Black Ops 7 at Beta and Launch
Content Summary
Game Pass Access and Benefits: Black Ops 7 is available Day One with Game Pass Ultimate on Xbox and Xbox on PC and with Game Pass PC via the Xbox Store or Xbox PC app. Subscribers also get preorder benefits, including Beta Early Access and the Reznov Challenge Pack.
Vault Edition Upgrade for Subscribers: Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers can upgrade to the Vault Edition for $30 SRP, unlocking BlackCell access, Operator skins, Mastercraft weapons, Ultra GobbleGums, and a Permanent Unlock Token. All Vault Edition content is included.
Subscription Status and Access Rules: To keep playing Black Ops 7 with Game Pass, your subscription must remain active. If you unsubscribe without purchasing the game, access is removed but can be restored by resubscribing or buying the game outright.
Black Ops 7 will be available Day One with select Game Pass plans on Xbox and Xbox PC. The included Game Pass Plans are as follows:
- Game Pass Ultimate: Full access on Xbox and Xbox PC
- Game Pass PC: Full access on Xbox PC
Game Pass Standard and Game Pass Core plans do not include access to Black Ops 7.

Players who prefer to own a physical disc version of Black Ops 7 can preorder now at participating retailers. The following formats are available:
- Xbox Series X and Xbox One: Physical Cross-Gen Bundle—includes both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions.
- PlayStation 4: Physical Cross-Gen Bundle—includes the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions. You can also upgrade to the digital PlayStation 5 version of the game via a voucher code in-pack at no additional cost.
- PlayStation 5: Physical Standard Edition—includes only the PlayStation 5 version.
Note: Physical editions are not available for PC.
