Pro Tips – Compound: Domination

by Call of Duty Staff on June 06, 2015

This is where the best come to train, and it’s your turn to impress. Welcome to Compound, a small Atlas training facility in the Colorado wilderness. In these tight quarters, Domination provides a true test of skill, so let’s cover the basics. Compound is a new multiplayer map from the Call of Duty®: Advanced Warfare Supremacy DLC Pack, available now on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation®Network, and PC.

Adjust for Scale

Grenades, shotguns, SMGs, the new M1 Irons: all good options when competing in a small environment. With so much activity, you have to make your shots count, quickly moving from one target to the next. Toss a grenade when closing in on a flag, and then blast defenders escaping its radius, and vice versa for defenders. Equip the Missile Strike Scorestreak with the Hellfire Missile Module for maximum damage when you’re on a roll.

Blast Resistance

It’s a good idea to have an extra loadout with heavy blast resistance, especially if the other team starts getting grenade happy. Turn the tables with Flak Jacket, Blind Eye, and Hard Wired so you can capture flags with as little interruption as possible. For even more defense, equip the Exo Trophy System along with the Tactician Wildcard if you’re in the Exo Grapple playlist.

Speed Runs

The best players learn to push their exoskeleton to the limit, and Compound is a great map to improve your movement abilities. With timing and creativity, you can zip from flag to flag in a flash, especially in the Exo Grapple playlist. Sometimes, moving with reckless speed is the best strategy, and the faster you move, the more opportunities you’ll have to dislodge the competition.

Tug-of-War

Playing Domination is similar to a game of tug-of-war, but the stakes are raised on a small map like Compound. Don’t get too comfortable if your team is in the lead, because a few smart plays can turn things around in an instant. On the other hand, don’t get discouraged if you’re down. Find a teammate, push for a flag in unison, and turn the tide in your favor.
