CWL Las Vegas, Presented by PlayStation 4, concluded with fan-favorite OpTic Gaming sweeping a Grand Final series versus eUnited to take the first event of the Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 season. A CWL-record 272 teams from around the world traveled to Las Vegas for their chance at a title but it was the team affectionately referred to as the “Greenwall” that would walk away victorious.

The win was likely a sigh of relief for OpTic Gaming players and fans alike after a disappointing Call of Duty®: WWII season. Though the Greenwall entered the WWII season with confidence, OpTic’s best placing throughout the year was 2nd place at the CWL Pro League Stage 1 Playoffs. At the Call of Duty Championship in August 2018, OpTic arrived to defend its 2017 Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare season title, only to be eliminated from competition in the Group Stage.

OpTic’s run toward a title at CWL Las Vegas was impressive, making colossal Hardpoint comebacks against both Splyce and again versus eUnited during the Grand Final.

Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell was named CWL Las Vegas MVP for his performance, helping push his team toward the finish line with impressive play as Prophet, the Tempest-wielding Specialist.
