The Week 4 Match of the Week features two teams with close connections. On opposite ends of the map will be Team EnVyUs’ John and Luminosity’s TeePee, players who have switched places with each other through individual roster moves. Also facing off will be Team EnVyUs’ Apathy and Luminosity’s StuDyy, two former members of the Team Liquid squad that barely missed qualification at Stage 1 Relegation.

With North America returning to play after the ESWC tournament in Paris, Luminosity and EnVyUs have had a week to regroup and refocus after stuttering 2-2 starts in Stage 2. Which team will come out on top in this head-to-head matchup? Watch the Match of the Week to see which team holds the greater advantage in the recent roster changes.

Luminosity

Luminosity Gaming expanded into Call of Duty esports at the beginning of the Black Ops 3 season. Their initial squad of Replays, Saints, SpaceLy, and John showed flashes of brilliance in Stage 1, but the team finished 7th in the standings and made a first round exit in the Stage 1 Playoffs (4-1 loss to Rise Nation). In a bid to strengthen their Stage 2 hopes, Luminosity recruited veterans TeePee and StuDyy to replace SpaceLy and John.

EnVyUs

Next to Luminosity, EnVyUs seems ancient. The organization formed in 2007 to compete in the original Modern Warfare and has competed professionally in six Call of Duty titles since then. After placing 2nd two years in a row at Call of Duty Championship 2013 and 2014, they’re eager for a top placing. In its current lineup, COD Champs 2015 winner JKap brings veteran leadership, while recent pickups John and Apathy have given the team added slaying potential.

Tune in for the Luminosity vs. EnVyUs Match of the Week on Thursday May 12th at 6:00pm PDT/9:00pm EDT.
