Building from PSX

For several teams, the Call of Duty World League: PSX Invitational offered a great starting point heading the 2017 CWL season. European standouts Orbit and event winners FaZe Clan will look to carry their positive performance from PSX into Vegas. For teams like Evil Geniuses and eUnited that underperformed, we'll see how these squads have adjusted since the Invitational and if they can put together a better performance in Vegas.

Big Names Debut

While the PSX Invitational included eight of the best teams in the world, two significant names were not present: OpTic Gaming and 2016 World Champions Team EnVy. Those two teams will make their LAN debut in Las Vegas as they take their invited spots in pool play. Will OpTic and EnVy be able to recapture their dominance from last season immediately or will there be growing pains early on in the new season?

New Contenders Emerge

With the largest ever MLG Call of Duty open bracket, there have never been more amateur players and teams looking to make their mark on the competitive scene. Every year brings new names into the fold, and Las Vegas offers the perfect opportunity to establish your standing early in the season. Meanwhile, keep an eye on several European teams that will look to prove their mettle in the top region of competition.
