Tonight it begins?

Well tonight is the release of Bf3. I know this is a COD forums but I know alot of COD players are actually purchasing Bf3. Its obvious even though we got alot of little kids in COD we are mature than the other franchise. Ok time for me to begin what I want to talk about.

Have you guys noticed the past few days Battlefield 3 commercials has been all over your T.V even on the internet. I mean really they playing back to back to back commercials for Bf3.Alot of people is going to be pissed I dont think I have to explain what I mean when I say this. Im predicting tonight a fanboy war will start on these forums.

Now we all know the game has alot of hype but will it really kill COD. Im worried now because its clear DICE/EA is spending alot of money for all these ADs/Commercials to be posted everywhere. I know COD has had alot of hype but this is just insane. Recently they have started a show called The Controller and its basicly a realality show and a gaming show. You have 6 top gamers in the world like Tsquare teaching 6 noobs who have never played a video game for $50,000 dollars.Seems like a really good show ill put the link below.

Also tonight I feel Activison will wake up and realise they have competition and they will be putting more time into they games. How many pre-orders do Mw3 and Bf3 have? I did see news Bf3 has 2.5million but it has not really been confirmed. Tell me what you guys think/how you feel/is you pre-ordering/do you feel Bf3 is overhyped/all of the above?

    Tonight it begins?

I canceled my pre-order at GameStop after playing the Online Beta. Thanks EA for letting me test your crappy product and save $60.

I enjoyed the beta and I will undoubtedly enjoy the full game.

Getting ready to take a nap so that I'm ready to go tonight.

The game is obviously not going to kill CoD, but it will last longer than MW3.

    Will be getting it tomorrow.

It is not overhyped and EA knows what they are doing.

Will laugh when most of you morons will cry when MW3 has something OP and IW will not fix it or find it balanced or there is a technical issue that remains there for a looong time.

Hopefully, BF3 will let Activision know that they should let IW innovate and let them have more freedom with the game.

It will last longer than MW3? I can still play 2005's cod2, but I can't play 2010's MoH because the EA servers are always down -- same goes for BC 1 & 2.

BC2 sucked... MoH sucked and I missed out because BC2 sucked... concerned BF3 will continue the suckage...

      ... I still bought it.

I think the campaign will be good.

I  think the MP will be average at best in the long run.

        Opinions, opinions.

At least BC2 didn't crawl with FPS drops, console favoritism, weapon imbalance, developers ignoring legitimate problems etc. like a certain game I know.

BC2 had server issues every other game...

It had no weapon "imbalance"... okay. Sniper, anyone?

          Rose colored glasses suck.

Even with it's flaws, MW2 was more enjoyable. BO is my second favorite COD.

BF3 beta was average at best... I'll see how the game plays... tomorrow 'cuz I don't feel like staying up to get it at midnight.

          I will for MW3.

          Yep... my opinion.

    Re: Tonight it begins?

I've been playing Battlefield games for almost 4 years now and there's no way in hell I'm getting BF3 (unless it's $20 down the road somewhere). Take the severe issues I've had with EA servers for BFBC1, BFBC2, and MoH since the beginning of September and the complete lack of EA or Dice customer support, & I've been completely turned off by their future products.

Plus, I play on the 360 & Dice is completely catering to the PC crowd -- I mean, BF3 supposedly has the 5 biggest BF maps ever and it's only 12v12 on console versus 32v32 on PC? **** that! 32v32 sounds fun, 12v12 sounds boring. Then the lead dev stuck his foot in his mouth when he said (to paraphrase) "PC graphics are HD, console graphics are SD." Ahahaha, what? Another reason to skip it.

FInally, they added prone & nerfed spotting -- those maps are just too friggin big to deal with camping. If people are excited about BF3, that's cool -- I truly hope they get the gaming experience they're looking for. HOWEVER, imho, anyone who gets BF3 on console is a moron.

Although I can't speak on their customer support since even the BF forums say they are wack, your shenanigans with them catering to PC is pretty funny. There are plenty of reasons why they have more stuff on PC and they aren't lousy excuses.

-For one, Battlefield started on PC and lived on because of it. So did CoD.

-PC is pretty powerful and can handle 64 players.

-Consoles are six years old and can handle 24 before they have to dumb down other things.

      Etc.

There will be an HD installment for consoles, kid. Learn to research before whining.

Prone was added for the game to be more flexible, plus it is also an advantage for attackers to use prone when advancing. Prone isn't a feature just for defensive gameplay.

You really need to develop knowledge about a game before criticizing it and anyone who just blindly agreed with him need to as well.

I'm not a DICE fan in the slightest.

They make a very fun campaign... they are horrid at making MP, IMO.

100% agree they made BF3 for the PC crowd... and I think they were smart to do so.

      COD owns console shooters.

      BF owns PC.

How GRFS fits into the market is going to be the question to me...

Also, CoD owns Xbox 360, not PS3 or Wii. Xbox is the lead console and ports are given to everything else. Technically, CoD owns Xbox. Popularity is nothing but pop culture.

Do keep spouting out more false info and making yourself a fool. It is entertaining.

    Re: Tonight it begins?

PS3, Xbox, PC, and, in the future, Wii U are pushed to their limits. There are no ports of BF3. Each gaming system is developed individually for everyone to get the best experience from it. PC is the lead because of hardware. If consoles had the processing power for PC's limits, it would also get 32v32 and state-of-the-art graphics, but DICE settled with a HD installment for consoles.

There is not many, if any, exclusive features PC gets, excluding more players.
