BF3 overhyped symptoms

Lets take a look from the pass shall we?

 

  • Said to be a CoD killer like MoH
  • Said to have better graphics than CoD (which is true but like MoH)
  • Said to have more unlockables
  • Said to be as fast-paced as CoD
  • Said to have less campers than CoD (12 people in CoD compared to 32 (64 pc) players. 1/3 of each are bound to camp and it looks like BF has more)
  • Said to be more balanced than CoD (which is as ridiculous as saying CS has less OP weapon like the deagle and AWP)

 

Anyways we'll just have to wait for its release. Also see this video . The irony of someone bashing CoD and seeing a bunch of campers in the beta

    1. No-one at DICE ever said it was

    2. It does

    3. Again it does

    4. Battlefield is never a fast paced game, anyone who said it is a fanboy trying to stir ****, BF games take on avergae 20 mins to finish, how is that fast paced?

    5. Campers are on every game, the beta was a poorly choosen map, but then there is a select button which allows you see the people, plus people wont camp when a tank blows them up

    6. The guns are balanced, there is no GL on the assault rifles, the Engineer class cannot replenish their Missles, so its balanced

     

    Both games are overhyped, both will be released both will have annoying issues that will piss us all off, now lets move on

    It does.

    Who said that? It is supposed to be slower paced, Metro was just a bad example.

    If you camp in BF3 you will never be found, the map is too big.

      If you camp in BF3 you will never be found, the map is too big.

      also i counted the numbers of weapon (including equipments like frag, claymores etc) and the funniest thing happened BF3 has 63 weapons while CoD has 62

        also again, here's a complete list of which has more weapons in a category

         

        Assault rifles = Cod by 10 (BF 9)

         

        Carbines = BF by 6 (COD has none)

         

        Shotguns = same amount

         

        Launchers = same amount

         

        Pistols = BF by 8 (cod by 6)

         

        Machine pistols = CoD by 4 (BF has none)

         

        LMG = BF by 7 (cod has 5)

         

        Misc (including grenades and equipment) = COD by 14 (BF by 8)

         

        Sniper rifles = BF by 8 (Cod Has 6)


        SMG = same amount

         

        Riot shield = CoD (BF has none)

          Actually I would like to correct you

           

          Assault Rifles:

           

          BF3 - 10

           

          They are: M16A4, AK-74M, HK416, AEK-971, F2000, AN-94, G3A4, KH2002, L85, FAMAS

           

          COD - 9

           

          They are: M16A4, Mk 16 MOD 0 (SCAR-L), CM901, QBZ-95, ACR 6.8, Mk14 MOD 0 EBR, AK-47, FAD, FAMAS

           

          Carbines:

           

          BF3 - 7 (correctly called Carbines)

           

          They are: M4A1, AKS-74u, Mk. 17 Mod 0 CQC (SCAR-H CQC), A-91, G36C, SG553LB, QBZ-97

           

          COD - Incorrectly places but are autually carbines - 2 in MP

           

          They are: M4A1, G36C, in SP  the AKS-74u

           

          Shotguns -

           

          BF3 - 7

           

          They are: 870MCS, M1014, Saiga 12K, DAO-12, USAS-12, MK3A1 (Jackhammer), M26 MASS

           

          COD - 6

           

          They are: USAS-12, KSG-12, SPAS-12, AA-12, Striker, M1887

           

          Launchers:

           

          BF3 - 8

           

          They are: M136 AT4, RPG-7V2, SMAW, FGM-148 "Javelin", FIM-92 "Stinger", SA-18 "Ilga" M224 Motar, M320 GL

           

          COD - 7

           

          They are: SMAW, FIM-92 "Stinger", FGM-148 "Javelin", XM26 CDTE, M320 GL, RPG-7, M136 AT4

           

          Pistols, your right

           

          Mchine pistols - BF3 indeed has none, but MW3 only has two, the FMG9 and Skorpions are not Machine Pistols they are in fact Sub-Machine guns

           

          LMG - BF3 - 9 COD - 7

           

          Misc

           

          BF3 - 41 (all equiment, grenades and attachments)

           

          MW3 - 36

           

          Sniper Rifles - BF3 - 8 plus 2 Battlerifles

           

          MW3 - 6

           

          SMG - BF3 - 8

           

          MW3 - 10 (Due to the fact two SMG's are misplaced as Machine Pistols)

    This thread is coming from a guy who thinks flashlights are overpowered.

     

    You don't even know anything about BF3 and you are bashing it.

        There was actually points as to why it had issues.

         

        But a Flashlight? You do know that OP: Metro was CQB-oriented? It was common to get blinded by one.

         

        The flashlight also got you caught out when moving through the tunnels since it can be seen from miles away.

         

        To put icing on the cake, the attachment was one of the first unlocks. Some weapons only were available for the flashlight narrowing down the variety.

         

        The points you brought up are ridiculous and anyone with a competent brain would know that in the end, both games entertain different audiences.

         

        btw, BF3 actually holds more content.

          Could you give me the said issue

           

          Ghost was meant to either flank, take down air-support or sniping. The thing that made it infamous is the ghillie suit which if in IW games, can only be obtained by using a sniper rifle (which relates to camping).

           

          Anyways the worse type of campers are flak jacket + tac mask pro

    Other perks, excluding Flak Jacket to some degree, never help up.

     

    Hardline is best for low killstreaks. Pro version was nerfed and exclusive to Care Packages.

     

    Scavenger is watered down. BO gives you an extra magazine and Dual mags give even more ammo. You also cannot replenish certain things and that is what made Scavenger so popular. It is mainly for ammo.

     

    Lightweight was great for SMGs, but it is not as effective on LMGs or ARs. It also has a bad Pro version that doesn't fulfill its name. Climbing faster would have been cool.

     

    No, it has nothing to do with camping. It is how effective the perks are and what they affect.

     

    The flashlight in BF3 does not hold up to the perk imbalance in BO. Hell, that may be toned down in the retail. Why are we even talking about that horribly ported game called BO anyway?

     

    It seems like these forums know little about everything.
