Re: MW3 Gun DLC - No need to panic!

It'd be nice if they brought back the ak-74u, which was in singleplayer, the M9, M1911, M40a3, the ACR from mw2, the Aug and/or Famas (if so, fully auto), maybe bring in a new sniper such as the M24 (R700 basically) and also a new shotgun such as the Saiga 12, the Tar-21, and the legendary RPD

There you go, a list of weapons for all gun classes. I'm just saying, these would be nice weapons to bring back as DLC's in mw3 in the near future or in future COD games. Maybe the DLC's can be downloaded the same way the weapons were downloaded in the "Back to Karkand" DLC for BF3.

Aren't most of the maps and guns already on the games disc? If so, they are probably already accounted for when loading MP games so the RAM issue might not even be a factor.

Put the weapons in the map packs, make them as a bonus incentive to get the map packs. No they are not going to be that overpowered even if at all. We're not talking about giving dlc weapons like a fat boy nuke launcher from Fallout. Infinity Ward said that weapons they cut are mostly based on being to similar to ones they already have in the game. Just give us the guns anyway and we'll pick on preference of which one we like. Like the M240 they cut from the game make the stats similar to the M60, and we can choose. And if there is a real difference make it so that players can buy the weapons individually from the packs. Either that or them as something you can buy from the prestige shop. That way everyone can buy it with the tokens they acquire. This is just an idea of how it could be handled. I really believe that weapon dlc could add a lot to this game. Thanks for reading this.

I sorry but making people pay for new guns or perks is just stupid just like how the elite is a sub based system. either give everyone a full game or don't release the game till everything is ready.

Guys, guns are possible for dlc, All they need to do is follow what GT5 does. If IW just makes a patch and allows for those who bought the gun pack to use create a class and such. And for those who chose to skip out on the dlc will see the gun under the weapon list but will not be able to use it. But they could pick the weapon off the ground and use it.  Or like someone said, make it non useable, although that would seem to take up more space.

dude that's BS. So let's say there are 2 gun packs and 1 map pack. I have all 3 of them, then I can only play with other people that have the 2 packs if I wanna play on the map pack. Then I'll be lucky if I could play with 5% of the people that play MW3.

But this will bring balance flame wars to a new level. "Use it too" won't work, because if a DLC gun is overpowered, you have to buy the DLC to use it yourself.
