May you get a news about COD:Elite's PC release.

What do guys think about this little review?
not good at all. team defender sounds very cool tho.
I'm glad someone finally talked about the downside of all the things they added or w/e.
Wasn't going to pre-order this anyway, but now I'll pay some extra attention to reviews before even considering buying this game.
Nice find!
good find man
this is so true what he aaid about mw2 "I got the impression that the idea was to make everything on screen always look as chaotic as possible with big explosions and lots going on." and i hate that
give me clean game without constant screen shakes and stuff flying aroung
also, when the **** will we know about fov and when will they ad an option to disable that broken headbob
what's this problem with the headbob really?
He is obsessed with it.
Does anybody else wonder why the picture in that review is the same as the pic in game informer? That was odd to me. Other than that that review seemed good except for the bad crap, but things can easily be patched up, and one reviewer out of the rest saying this game was bad might just mean he isn't a cod lover in the first place. I don't base my entire desire on a game on one bad review.
I think it's good to hear the negative aspects of the game. This reviewer opened up my eyes. I'm sure he enjoys COD but dislikes the way the game is tending to the casual player than more to their veterans who have played COD since COD1.
Not that it'll stop me from buying the game but it lowers the hype that I have had for any COD game that came out after World at War.
In the past, I get TOO hyped out up COD but end up disappointed because this was in, this was removed or this didn't turn out as great as I wanted it to be.
For instance, in Black Ops, Customization, COD Points & Wager Matches was something I was hyped up for but ended to be a dud after a couple of months IMO.
At least when I pick up the game at the midnight release, I can go there saying it won't be perfect, it will have some flaws but it will still be enjoyable.
I treat every game to be PERFECT but you end up disliking the game even more.
I know exactly what you mean. We can only find out for yourselves, but I still have some high hopes, because we know some patches will inevitably come.
Some of the complaints in that review were laughable tbh..
"Maps too simplistic" - Isn't that what everyone loved about the COD4 maps? Also they only played 4 maps out of 16.
"Inability to silent move in any way whatsoever" - What is dead silence for then? ![]()
"Customisation of weapons and their progression / perks overly complicated" - From what I've seen from COD XP it looks very straight forward...
I agree, I think this guy is kind of a joke tbh.
Like u guys, i think this does not bode well.
To be honest i dont know what to think of it anymore,, was just so focussed on the whole ranked and unranked dedicated servers issue. This caught me off guard.
Oh God, I hope they release mod tools.... I don't want or need all this extra crap, just give me Promod. But like the last 3 games, they'll come out to late or not at all and everyone will pass on the games competitive side once again. Looks like I'll be playing CoD4 for the 5th year in a row... Reading this review makes me want to play Black Ops stock....
A single review is a single review, when real CoD players went in and enjoyed it, this single reviewer who probably just died a lot doesn't really worry me. I very much enjoyed the footage of the game and people that played also seemed to enjoy it a lot. And an 18 killstreak is an 18 killstreak, so if you let somebody get that, it better not die in 2 bullets.
Hmmm, it didn't sound to me like the guy hated MW3 cause he died alot and hates kill streaks in fact he'll probably never play on a server with him. I think it was because of the crappy maps, terrible placed spawns and objectives, the fact they ruined sound, that the game is too complicated and has way to much stuff that we don't need or want for competitive multiplayer. The terrible pub play is irrelevant. Mod tools better ship with mod tools soon because the game will be dead on release competitively and will be dead in 10 months with out mod tools, just like MW2 and just like WaW. (Black Ops is on the fence).
If you like killstreaks so much you should play MW2, i hear they got plenty of them there. i heard you get them more often on Xbox too
We will see, him comparing it to invasionw as good to me, that was a good map, so idk how he can complain. ANd complicated is a matter of perspective, we read it all and know what we are getting, I don't see how it is complicated at all.
they know what they are doing, more things to unlock=more addictiv to many kids
a lot of kids use spray guns because they have no skill to use a shotgun or a sniper but soon they are bored because spray guns re borring,so they need to add more levels, etc.
the same reason goes for noob tubes etc.
this game would be great with simple gameplay
guns only
The chaos can be solved with the custom rulesets everyone can make, but my main concern is still the server system. It would be perfect if they just used the system from CoD4. Too bad they still haven't published more hard facts about that issue.
I guess you will find out soon enough, they are very tight lipped.
Shouldn't we have seen some offers from hosting companies to rent servers by now?
not if IW can have it their way
No promos for renting servers. And that is exactly what so worrying....

There are a few hosting companies advertising MW3 rented servers. Here is one example:
http://www.clanwarz.com/gameservers/callofduty_mw3.php
The thing is, it doesn't mean anything. They were all advertising servers for MW2 just before the announcement that it was going to be IWNet. And that's because server hosting companies only know the same thing the rest of us do - they aren't privy to insider information.
One thing is certain though - it is 200% confirmed there will be dedicated servers of sorts for MW3. But that isn't the real issue is it? It's what's involved with them - are they just glorified Private Match servers? Or are they server on which we can play the full game?
Oh, btw - Gameservers.com have confirmed that they are not tied in with an exclusive deal to host dedicated servers for MW3 the way they did for Black Ops. Which is a good thing in itself. No more waiting 6 or more months to get the servers stable.
Thank you for that gameplay video, it looks freaking amazing, that map looks great, and i very much disagree with the map argument in that review. The rest is hard to say unless I have played, but I see a lot of CoD put down and exaggeration, and he might just not be aware of what he is doing, and maybe wasnt much of a cod player in the first place.

Expect a lot of MW3 "news"tomorrow; as European journalists had to wait with publishing (anything they picked up during the Press-presentations) till October 10th.

a video i just found
http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/modern-warfare-3-video-interview
I lol'd at the BF3 advertisement
. Too bad that this interview doesn't clear up anything at all.
Well, knowing that they don't have an exclusive hosting deal again is a start. Let's hope for the best ![]()
Nice interview, but i wish the interviewer would at least ask some pc specific questions, we all know how great sp looks, and all the weapons etc, we need to know what we as pc gamers are gonna get with our dedi servers...

Well then, the BIG embargo has came and went, and what have we learned?
Just 2 x new screenshots and NOTHING ELSE.. why have an embargo if NO SECRETS were getting disclosed after its deadline.?..
And STILL we PC GAMERS wait to see EXACTLY what WERE getting....

Everyone needs to chill. I know it might look grim, but it really is not. They simply haven't finalized things vis-a-vis the PC game. The big hold-up is a third team not having decided something: Project Beachhead, the team working on Elite, have not finalized the decisions surrounding PC's place in Elite; it hasn't been decided if we get included in the Premium membership deal or not. This decision directly impacts on the info that will filter out because it determines the status of PC dedicated servers, that is, whether they will be ranked or not.
Once all the decisions have been made, we will see an influx of info filtering out. But one thing is 200% guaranteed: there will DEFINATELY be dedicated servers. Whether they are ranked or unranked is the key question, but as I said, that can't be answered until Beachhead decide on their place in Elite.
One thing I've learnt in my 8 years with this franchise is: jumping up and down screaming and shouting about things will not make them move any faster in getting the info out. It will come in it's own good time, and not before.
And when it comes out we will all munch on all the info I can with the glee of a 12 year old on christmas.
The ELITE thing is a good excuse, and I understand it, but like the others, I can't help but think we are about to get bad news and that I'll have to pass up this CoD too.
It's been going on 3 years now and it's all been bad so far. I was cheering on Black Ops like a fool just to find out that the Dedicated Servers publicity stunt they promised is actually a rip off to the consumer. Yes, they are Dedicated Servers, but they are still consolized. I have friends of other clans who have dropped their BO servers after 2 months in. Yes, the 'Dedicated Servers' press thing here with MW3 sounds more to what we want, but we have learned from 2 years ago - there's always a bad catch.
This is why we can no longer be happy no matter what they say until they finally deliver. It just makes me feel stupid waiting on info that will disappoint us all once again.
- Ranked (Progressive) Dedicated Servers
- 32 Player like CoD4
- Good Anti-Cheat
Thank God someone else has common pc sense... great reply m8..
The fact the majority of pc cod clans still run cod4/waw/cod2 servers and NOT B.O. or MW2(unless you go alter route) tells you something..
Our clan has been stuck on cod4 for past 3.5 years, weve tried the others.and find theyre not as good as cod4 gameplay..
So to keep intrest up and try to keep things fresh, we brought out the worlds first and best mw2 mod for cod4....
Obviously we would prefer to move with the times with proper servers like cod2 , cod4 and waw..
hopefully what has passed these last two years is just a phase, and we get back to cod roots the dedi/mod way..
