Our Voice: Community Ideas

Introduction

Everyone has an idea. Be it big or small, complex or simple; if you've ever played a game, the thought of adding or removing something from that game crossed your mind. But where do you go? Who do you talk to? How do you contact them? Most importantly, will you be listened to?

Twitter is actually a good place to contact Robert Bowling, who does a good job at listening to players. The unfortunate part of that is that Twitter has limited typing space.

These forums give players an amazing opportunity to express themselves. But spreading 100 ideas over 100 topics with 100 replies each means that, if anyone is reading, they're going to have to shuffle through a ton of posts. If we as players organize our thoughts--be them good or bad--and keep them in one place, it's going to be a lot easier to look through.

This thread may "fail hard", but it's an attempt at gathering our voice, as a community, and organizing our ideas and thoughts.

Proposal

It's simple; comment below with an idea you have that you think would improve Modern Warfare 3. This thread will then be forwarded to Robert Bowling via Twitter, where he can review the ideas posted.

The only way this would work is if we put aside our negative views and focus only on explaining our own opinions, and focus less on criticizing others.

How can we make this happen?

1. Post your idea(s) for Modern Warfare 3.

2. If you like or agree with someone's idea, Like it. We have a Like button now, and we should show support for good ideas by Liking the post.

3. Don't criticize someone's idea. We all have differing opinions, but criticizing an idea will get you and us nowhere. If you don't support an idea, don't Like it. Skip it and keep moving.

4. Once we begin gathering ideas, forward this thread to Robert Bowling via his Twitter (@fourzerotwo). We can brainstorm and post ideas until our brains fry and our fingers fall off. But if we don't get our ideas out there and have the right eyes read them, it'll be all for nothing.

Like I said before, this thread may "fail hard" and be for nothing, but it's an attempt at making a game we're all interested in better, by suggesting things that we want to see.

With all that out of the way, let's hear it.

COD multiplayer needs a  "Mute all" option or better yet "Auto Mute".

Here is a suggestion for COD Elite Premium.  You can already create, save, and upload your own custom game type to Elite and share it with other Premium users, but it is still just private matches that you have to round up a bunch of friends to play.  I would love it if they would actually create public playlists in Elite Premium, where the top 10 custom game types that got voted up the most would actually be ranked rotation playlists that have regular matchmaking just like the standard pub playlists.  Something like this might actually make me consider upgrading.
