Call me old school...

Posted by djcorpix on Mar 10, 2013 3:16 PM

I still aim down sight.

Remember when people used to do that?  Now everyone just sprays.  I hope the next COD isn't like this or I'm done.  My favorite part of COD when I first started with COD 4 was the ADS system.  I don't recall there being much spray and pray in that game, in this game it's ridiculous.  I look around online and listen to people on the mic and I seem to be one of the only ones bothered by this.  I don't like campers, which is usually what people complain about, but this is worse in my opinion.

I think in the next Call of Duty hip fire needs to be much less effective or the maps need to be larger.

Most of the SMG challenges are to blame because the easiest method to get the head shots you need is by hip firing.   I guess that's the way it is in the future...who knew

i have had a few, lazy games where i didn't bother to ADS with the Evo. i honestly found i got nearly as many kills. wtf is that about? i ADS all the time. i kinda figured it's how your supposed to play unless you get surprised..in which case i do the "start shooting as your gun comes up to ADS" thing. either way, i aim.

with some guns, it seems you don't even have to. it's lame and i see LOTS of kill cams with this happening.

shooting off hip is only effective at close range stop complaining. In real life if someone 5 feet from you, would you really aim down sight our of hip. You people kill me.

This has become more prevelant in order to cater to nO_oBs and the juveniles that Treyarch has a thing for.

No it the fools who try to ads 5 _feet away from somebody. The split second it takes your gonna die every time. while i shot you off the hip.

Horse spit. I've seen people hipfire from the doorway on Nuketown to the bus and kill people. The hipfire FAIL in this game is ridiculous. Hell the even put Sticky Aim in to make it easier.

That would lucky shot, you could not fo that on a consistent bacis. I have a simple rule 8 to 10 feet off the hip anything farther i ads.

The crosshairs are just for show. The hipfire spread is way more consistent that what's shown. Just burst fire from the hip and you'll still do fine even at 20yrds out. I know, I've done it

I said it a little bit ago in another thread. Accuracy is take for granted. What once use to be a skill is now just handed out to everyone removing the divide between good and bad players

This is what makes this CoD such a joke. Don't aim and you'll do fine... what a freaking joke.

I've actually started hearing people get pissy about aiming. I picked someone off who was sitting in a window. It was really far away and I'm actually surprised I was able to kill him from that far away. I heard the player yell in his mic about how I took the time to aim and kill him with an SMG. Just goes to show that everyone thinks this game should only be in-you-face combat

They think it should be about using no skill. Even when trying tot ADS you can still not kill people at times. This game is horrible for such mechanics.

lol I've noticed that too. It doesn't make sense when people will complain about someone ADSing, whether they're ADSing a corner because they know someone's coming, or ADSing while they're sniping, like they're supposed to. It's part of the reason people make fun of Call of Duty. When the game's own community gives people a hard time for aiming, trying to win, etc., you've got a problem. That's one of the reasons I mute lobbies more often than not lol

Basically the community's about getting upset at however they're killed, because you can ADS, you can hip fire, you can do anything and if it kills them, they'll complain about how it was done lol I get frustrated too but some people just whine about too much imo. (I can't stand quickscopers though, which I think is the worst thing in Call of Duty right now, or the lag)

Hipfiring can win a few gunfights here and there, and in some cases it's the best option.  But the people who throw down the 100-kill, 50:1 kill/death games are aiming down sight in nearly every engagement, and they're getting the kills because their aim is better than their opponents'.

I don't have a link handy, but Sandy Ravage posted an AN-94 gameplay on Raid a few weeks ago that was absolutely sick.  It wasn't an insane amount of kills or anything, but his accuracy...I actually went back and re-counted, and by my count he missed 8 shots in the entire game.  Eight Not, like, 8 people...he fired 8 bullets which didn't hit the intended target, total.  And, yeah...he was not hipfiring.
