BO2 Revolution: PeaceKeeper best gun in the game? Favorite Revolution Map? Discuss ;)

Posted by scratch_1_more on Apr 22, 2013 5:25 AM

Now that we've had almost a week with the Revolution pack and the PeaceKeeper I thought I'd get a friendly discussion going. First topic being is the PeaceKeeper now the best gun in the game (All-Around)? Second being what's your favorite Revolution Map?

For me I was skeptical at first when rumors began about the PeaceKeeper performing as a hybrid smg/AR, but after steady usage the gun performs exceptionally well at various ranges with decent recoil while dealing out consistent damage across the board. But the question remains, is it the best gun in the game? From a versatility stand point, I honestly couldn't argue that. However from a smg standpoint the PDW's 50 round magazine alone makes it tough for me to decide, pre patch it was a no brainer, but now it's kinda interesting and debate can definitely be made.

As for my favorite Revolution Map, it's definitely Grind as you can see here lol. The map just has a great flow/energy. Discuss

The Peacekeeper is not the best gun in the game. I think Treyarch did a good job in making the DLC gun a useable weapon that is fun to use, but not a must-have weapon.

I'm really enjoying the DLC maps. Grind is definitely my favorite. Then Hydro, Mirage and last, and definitely least, Downhill.

I don't think there is a magical gun that is way better then the rest. I got diamond on the peacekeeper so going through that bs I kind of grew to like it. I wouldn't agree on low kick that think is a mule for a sub. I does have good range though and if you head hunt it's a good weapon to use.
Overall I like the AN-94 for mid to long range with dual Kap 40's for entering rooms and close range. As for the best new maps I like Downhill, Grind, and Mirage. Hydro is a camping paradise down the middle.

also I don't know about you guys but the gun is pretty incosistent to me, sometimes I dor really good with it then the next moment i'm struggling to get a kill, IMO but like somebody said 3arc did right, because if they were to release an OP gun everybody would start complaining

I used the peace keeper for a bit to get it diamond but now I've gone back to the AR's I would rather use the AN 94 than the peackeeper, it just has a better feel for me, if I'm going to use a gun that isn't that good at CQC but has range why not just use a AR because it has more power?

I definitely agree with you on the maps and guns and I've had to experience the camping from the other end on Hydro. Not enjoyable I'll tell ya that. The only spawns can be camped from 2 directions minimum. Exspecially on Domination. Not to mention the regen rate is way to high it seems. Swear i was pumpin rounds into these blokes and still went down time and time again. Need to work on that map for sure.

I've used the Peacekeeper quite a bit, I've got over 2000 kills with it and a 1.26 KD while playing HC CTF and it's a perfect fit. The weapon is perfect for capping flags. I like it because it gives me the the range to take out longer targets and is accurate enough for CQB engagements. If I'm on a smaller map I like to use rapid fire and a silencer. On larger maps I use FMJ and Fast Mag. The weapon is pretty balanced for me. There are still short comings, like slower rate of fire and lower damage but overall I think the weapon is suited for objective based game modes that require long and short shots. What I appreciate is that Treyarch did not release a beast weapon but rather provided a better tool for certain game modes.

I agree with all of your points, it fits in really well. Statistically my best SMG by far followed by the MP7. I like it. YMMV but a viable killing machine for sure.

There is no 'best gun' in Blops 2 (or any COD game for that matter) but if there was a 'best gun' it certainly wouldn't be the peacekeeper.

Let me put it to you this way. I spawned in and found a Peacekeeper with no attachments. I picked it up and cycled through my VSAT and EMP 3x and won by forfeit
