An interesting bit of information about the prestige master glitch.

I was playing with a buddy last night and we ran into a couple of guys on our team who were really cool so we partied up with them.  As we were playing throughout the night one of them asked if I did the prestige glitch or if I had done it the right way (they were all 4 and 5's).  I told him that I had done it the long way and thats when he told me about one of his friends.

 

He said one of his "good friends" IRL did the glitch and called Sony to see if they would reset it for him so he wouldnt have to create a new account in order to rank up the right way.  Sony proceded to tell him that they could not reset the account and that it never would be reset since it was a mistake by the devs that allowed it to happen. 

 

Kind of interesting.  I felt like eventually they would start resetting these guys but I guess not.  It sure makes my diamond ARs SMGs and LMGs a big waste of time since every 12 year old and other glitcher can get them done in a matter of minutes.

    it is the Devs fault but, recently I've seen a couple of my friends go from PM to level 1 no prestige so I think they're starting to get reset.

    Theres a guy on my FL who is one of those friend of a friend of a friend type things.  Hes also kind of a douchebag and he did the glitch.  Myself and quiet a few other guys on my FL have reported the dude probably close to 100 times and he is still maxed. 

     

    I guess I didnt have much faith that they were going to do anything and now I really dont think they will.  It doesnt change the game as far as in game performance but definately made going all of the way a huge waste of time.  I should have stayed at 9/55 which will probably stand as the most rare level in the game until everyone moves on.

    yer ppl are starting to get reset just look keep an eye on the forums for the awesome "it wasnt me" or "i didnt do anything" posts.

     

    its just going to take time id be willing to be there is months and months worth of back log.

    lol I have a friend who was PM and I also I reported him at least 20 times then eventually I gave up but he got reset about a week ago, so it might take a while but there is a big chance that guy will get reset. The problem iis one of my friends got reset and did it again, he got reset, and did it again, he is still running as PM so I don't know how long it's going to take for him to get perma ban

    Played a match a short time ago, guy top of the leader board at the end was prestige 1 level 55. He went very positive, scored over 3,000 in domination. After the match I looked him up. His kdr was 0.35, spm 0.65, wlr 0.25. I looked at his recent matches, he was getting kdr of over 2 every match, spm was 200-400 and he won 8/10 of the matches.  That to me smacks of someone who has been reset after doing the prestige glitch. Sad thing for him is he is obviously a decent player but is now stuck with using an account with duff stats.

    WOW now thats a persistant glitcher LOL.....

     

    Honestly it sounds dumb but the diamond weapons are much more of a problem to me since it is much harder to do then max prest.  The diamond looks ghay anyway but its more the point of how hard it is to get on all weapons.

    Why do you think his stats were so shitty if it reset to lvl1? Wouldnt his stats start over as well?   Oh and what about the so called "skill based match making" with guys like this? 

     

    I guess it could also be a friend or big brother etc. playing on someone elses account I uh?

    when 3arch reset you they add +10.00 deaths and losses and give you a crappy SPM

    I heard that you get 10,000 kills and losses, and an spm of 0.35 for doing the pm glitch. I am guessing, but I would think going through nearly two prestige, this guy has managed to haul some of it back hence the slight variation.
