Does anyone know how much hardline helps you?

Posted by RAMBONER on Feb 15, 2013 8:17 AM

I know in the past it made killstreaks one less kill but obviously the way points are on this game it cant be that.  Do any of you guys know how many less points it takes with hardline?  I just assumed it was around 100 which if that is the case you are much better off using flak jacked or Ghost in its place.

knocks 20% off of every scorestreak!  extremely useful when going for higher scorestreaks like dogs and swarm

so if a scorestreak is 1100 points....it's now 880 points to get

definitely!  if you're playing KC, it is extremely easy to get higher scorestreaks when running hardline beause each kill you get with a tag is 200xp...it's almost wrong how easy it is to cycle over and over again through your scorestreaks especially if you run the lode, dogs, and swarm...it's rediculous!  lol

          In KC it's 50 for kill 100 for tag , so it's only 150 not 200

Flak Jacket is crapola in this game.

I agree multiple times I've gotten killed by grenades while wearing flak jacket even if I didn't take any damage

I use hardline on most of my classes too. In objective games liek Demo, Dom, Hardpoint etc. it's crazy how quick you can get scorestreaks. It just gives the most bang for your buck as a perk. I usually run Hardline and Engineer with UAV,HK and care package. You can stack this set up like crazy and engineer lets you re-roll the package. Hardline does help if you are running high streaks too though as many have mentioned above.

Actually, it doesn't take 20% off the Scorestreak, it ADDS 20% to scores you get, IIRC.

So if something would normally get you 100 points, you'll get 120 points, and so on.

      The above is more accurate.

      Thanks Gerbera.

Drift0r just uploaded a video today about it.

Brings up some points I wasn't aware of.  For instance, UAV, CUAV, VSAT, EMP assists DO NOT receive the extra 20% bonus.

Yeah, and it also makes Hardline not really needed for lower tier Scorestreaks, but it REALLY makes a difference when it comes to getting the higher-tier Scorestreaks; lowering them by as many as 5+ kills alone.

Lets just say a ruthless medal ( 15 kills without dying, with your gun) will get you a swarm with hardline equipped. This is assuming you don't get any assist points in between. if you get assist points then of course it will be less. Watch this vid, it explains it very well
