how to get free perk bottle(update with pic proof,  no knifin)

Posted by eljodemucho on Jan 31, 2013 11:28 AM

was up guys. So i need to know what's the real reason we get a free perk from the nova six looking zombies on die rise.  I say this because ppl have said you have to knife them.  Well Ive seen it work by just knifing them and got the bottle ok. But my bro used a shotgun and got the bottle. (olympia). He then quit come back and tried with the m14 but nothing. So whats the real reason on how we get the free pero bottle?

Any thoughts would b great

I've only heard of it from using the Knife, Galvaknuckles or Flingers.  Never heard of it happening from using any gun.   We tried it using Claymores and it didn't work.

Perhaps the drop from using the  Olympia was a glitch

Maybe that's why the Olympia is the only gun in the starting room? Some people might encounter the nova crawlers before they ever leave and in a panic would grab the shottie. Boom. Instant reward for doing something actually pretty hard. That first room is a death trap with only a handgun and shotgun.

No, not able to see it.

Upload it to the internet.  You can't hotlink pictures from your local PC.  I typically use Photobucket to share pictures on forums.  Once you upload it somewhere, use the Insert Image icon and paste in the URL to the picture.

No I can't see it but GulfCoastGirl is right. Plus I'm not really doubting this. If its a glitch oh well but it seems like something they would reward you for doing. Imagine round 20 nova crawlers and the Olympia! Even quick cola would make it a challenge with how fast they move.

I'm not doubting it either and I agree.... if you can kill those quick-hopping f****rs with a 2 round Olympia .... then you've earned that Perk!  I have trouble killing them with a fully automatic weapon.... they are fast!

The trample steam will also kill the leapers and give you a perk bottle!

When I play solo I have been able to get perk bottles repeatedly by a combo of claymores and galvaknuckles/bowie knife.  Tonight I'm going to try claymores and mustang & sally.  I pray m & s works for perks because it is so much easier.

You can still survive a nova 6 round with just the normal knife. Plus the person could've gone down the shaft got the Bowie knife and then go back using the trample stream and back up the shaft.
