How is it possible to pick up a peacekeeper?

I don't have the DLC, but I can play with people who do and pick up their gun. What is all that about?

 

How does my xbox know the texture etc, of the gun?

    Treyarch updated the game to allow all players to have the necessary files to use the Peacekeeper. However, only those who have Revolution will be able to use the gun in Create-a-Class.

    It was in the patch you received Sunday I believe.

      Cheers fellas, so I got DLC in the patch and that just gave me the textures etc for picking the gun up?

    As the two above pointed out the recent TU had the peacekeeper in it. It makes it so everyone can see the gun in the game but only those that bought the dlc can actually make a class with it.

      My friend noticed this at the weekend, following the title update/patch. He had the Season Pass and noticed that the Peacekeeper was there but locked until the DLC yesterday.
