New modem not available on portforward.com. Help please

Posted by FalconR6 on Jan 28, 2013 5:16 PM

G'day,

So, last week I was watching storm on my balcony when CRACK. A lightning strike came down waaaay to close for confort; for the first time in 30 years I nearly pooped myself. Bad news: fried modem. Good news: have a new modem. The past few days I've gone about making sure the settings are correct. The Unpn thingy automatically detected the xbox port (3074). But, looking on portforward.com my new modem, a Netgear D6300, is not listed. Question is : Are the ports for BO2 the same for all modems? and/or Does the Unpn take care of finding the BO2 ports anyway when I play.

If you're using UPnP you don't need to port forward. UPnP over rules port forwarding.

It essentially does it for you as needed.

If you prefer to port forward, the ports are 88 UDP, 3074 UDP and 3074 TCP.

If you do this, you should really disable UPnP.
