Is there a way to remove players from a clan ?

Posted by SUM1SLY83 on Jan 21, 2013 12:16 PM

Right my problem is we got a player in our clan and he doesn't like it and he can't leave the clan i also can't kick him from the clan.

Now he's posting loads of post's on our clan page just abuse, if i can't remove him from the clan is there anyway to remove all the post's he's been making ?

I wish they would hurry up and fix elite.

There's loads of problems i'm having like.....

Can't invite

Can't kick

Players can't leave

Can't view the clan

Can't change the clan tag (because the 1 we had we made on mw3 and it won't let use use it on bo2)

Can't see start and end times of challenges and ops

Can't see who got what after the challenge/ops ended

Can't see how we are getting on in the middle of ops/challenges so don't know when to stop

No xp emblems titles for ranking up the clan so it's hard to get the clan to play them

If there isn't already a way for the clan leader to remove posts off the clan page they should add that when they fix the rest, if they ever fix it.

My biggest problem is getting this lad out of our clan atm and removing his posts.

He keeps asking me to remove him or he won't stop posting abuse on our page trying to get other members to leave, but he won't accept the fact that there is nothing that i can do unless there's a way i don't know about.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

There is no way to remove his posts. You can however, hide the feed from non-members by going in to "Manage Clan", choosing the Privacy tab, and then unchecking the second option.

As for removing people from the clan, you should be able to go into the "Manage Clan" section, go to the "Roster", and then remove users by moving your mouse over their name and clicking the X. Confirm that you want to delete and they should be removed. Note that there are some clans that can not remove members and this is a bug with Elite. There is currently no work around to resolve this.

Most of these items can be found in this thread: http://community.callofduty.com/thread/200556389

The deletion of comments is already covered in #6 in the thread above.

As for the start/end times not showing up, the start time shows up on the competition list page on the elite site. The end time will show up on that page once it has started (the event will move to the "In Progress" list). If the times are off, then go to account settings page (https://elite.callofduty.com/account/settings) and change your timezone.

It looks like the majority of the timezones are listed in the dropdown. Which timezone are you in (+/-)?

As I said, you are not the only clan who can't delete players from the screen. What you can do is explain to the player that they can try to leave the clan just to find out it doesn't work and that you have the same issue in that you can't remove them. Explain that it is an issue with elite and that if he doesn't trust you that he should come to this forum and search/ask and he will see that you aren't lying. Here's an example of 6 other threads (found by searching...and there are more) where people are complaining about not being able to leave a clan.

If he continues to act this way, know that you can hover over the comment that he is making and click on the red flag to "Report Abuse". By doing so you should be able to explain why he is abusing and that you can't remove him from the clan.

There is no save button on the Account Settings screen so you should be able to just change the dropdown, give it a few seconds, and then reload the page to make sure it saves it. Once you reload and it shows the option you chose, then you should be able to go to the clan competitions page and see the times of the events in your actual timzeone. You can double check that the times are accurate by checking the countdown timer in an event and make sure it matches with what the competitions page says.

This forum and any of the Call of Duty sanctioned websites are deplorable.  They broke them when MW2 came out and never got them fixed.

Some clans have this issue, and others do not. Hard to explain it and there  is no resolution. I don't typically have an issue seeing the data he is referring to but I know other clans can't ever see it.
