Treyarch Please encourage people to play LEAGUE PLAY

Treyarch was promoting this game before the launch date by showing us how black ops 2 has this game mode called 'league play'.. but not many people actually plays it.. i just played a few matches with my friends and it was fun, but it took us 10 minutes + to find other 4 players in champion series. i am from australia and i dont know how many australian who plays league cause its really hard to find a lobby with 4 other players.

 

i hope that treyarch should encourage more players to play league, maybe x4 Bonus xp?

    I don't play it becasue I don't want to get stuck having to play the game all the time in case I get demoted.

     

    Exactly why I stopped playing zombies this time.

    I don't see the point in playing league play with the current lag comp in the game, seeing as everyone in the lobby apart from the host has 150ms disadvantage. You can always see who is host when a game is over, they usually have 3 times more kills unless they completely suck that is.

      there is no lag comp btw.. not too sure about the lag issue but since the launch day till now i havent encounter lag problems (excluding the host having **** connection which makes everyone drop down to 1 bar except the host.)

        Wait what? What planet are u on? There is no lag comp AND host gets advantage? I dunno what cod your playing atm but it aint blops2 mate.

          yes. host gets advantage in black ops 2. this is not mw3. in mw3 the host always gets disadvantage. im from australia and my internet download speed is about 35mbps down and 2 up

            Do a bit of researching. Host is disadvantage in blops2, Lag comp exists. 10 minutes on this forum will provide you with the proof you need. Some tech savvy heroes have already tinkered with their diagnostic tools. You are wrong

      Are you just going to keep copy and pasting this crap all over the forums? Just curious, because I watched the video like you asked me to in the other thread, and was not surprised to find this guy rattling off some numbers acting like he knows what's going on. Look, if you want to believe that propaganda, fine. But don't repeatedly try to make other people buy into you theories. I know first hand that I have zero/nill/zilch advantage hosting. That is the biggest load of crap floating around this week. This game's mechanics are broken. That is all, no more no less. Just because some joker on the Internet throws numbers around doesn't mean it is true. Do some research and you will see. Also, the best/only source you should heed from is the horse's mouth. If TA say's they did away with "host advantage" then they did. No reason to have 11 people b!tching at them instead of 1. Comon man, don't drink the kool-aid.

        You may not have an advantage when hosting, but I know I do.  However, as more and more games progress and the players become more random, they begin leeching my connection and I am actually at a disadvantage.  All I know is that when I'm host I don't lose my connection while running or trying to move.  I can also kill a guy in about 5-9 shots when I normally have to hit someone with half a clip.  Your connection may be amazing and host doesn't affect you, but it affects normal players.

    I said within a couple of weeks of the game coming out that league play was going to be a failure, but they don't listen.  The main problems are the hardpoint and ctf game modes and the poor and unfair scoring system.  Couple that with the piss poor way the game still plays for most people and they just get annoyed.  They quit, try it again in a couple of weeks, realise it's still the same and don't bother coming back.  On a side note though, I was put on probation 3 or 4 times the other day for quitting league matches, which is funny because I haven't played league for over 2 months.

    ive played league ,and honestly i got ranked in the top 10 of my section,didnt play for a week then got move into 15th so i assume the less ppl who play the less ranks youll lose..but im sure the more who play the more switching of ranks will happen..how ever i have noticed that there are different connections speeds you can look for games under,i always use best,and that was good games for the week i was playing..then the next time i played most of everyone had crap connections compared to me,and it showed in the scores..lag comp defeated my good connection,whats the point of having good internet when you can steal a crap connection wirelessly and run house on everyone...  fix the lag comp,and its 2013...get better internet

    You cant encourage league play... because its kinda dumb.  Very few people truly want to compete.  The XP earned sucks.  You dont have to open or unlock things... thus resulting in less fun.  Most of us play for fun, the rest will go where the bulk of the players play.

      Also if there is all this ( lag / connection problem ) Who wants to. I would try it out if they fixed all that. But as of right now I know that some games I am ok,  while most games I am at a 1-2 second disadvantage. Why would I even try to play league?

      Agreed. I've tried LP twice till now - first time I was on the top-50 of Silver (or was it Gold - I don't remember). This time - I got into Iron Division. Almost all of the 5 placement games I had were a lag-fest (both times).

      Only those players that had a good ping to the host got the kills - others either left the game or tried to be as stealthy as possible.

      IMO - they should either remove LP - or at least keep it just to ONE playlist. At the best of times I've seen may be 5,000 players - when there's like 500,000 players online - just around 1%.of total online-players.

      ok, so im wrong, i didnt do any research but i watched 1 video and he says no lag comp so therefore its wrong. i always get host 95% of the time when i play. i dont see much disadvantage. i am still able to get 60-90 kills when death below 10 fairly easily.. sure, there are times i do bad..

        First: Congratulations (on getting host & getting 60-90 kills easily all the time) - you have a truly wonderful connection & I honestly *envy* you. [OR, may be the other players on your enemy team always have a bad ping to you]

          MN, it's the same video that has been around the top of the threads for the last week. It's a youtuber doing what he does best, getting mindless people to buy into his crap to feed his channel. Lame, people need to grow up and do some research every once in a while.

          The video i watched that says there is no lag comp was made by JNasty720 (thats his youtube channel) i couldnt remember which videos cause it was awhile ago and he uploads like 2-3 a day. he says "if you're the host and you're doing bad then you suck" at one part.. and he continues to that there is no lag comp. of course, he is just a gameplay commentator.. im pretty sure he didnt do any research or anything..

    i tried LP twice. once, it took what felt like 20mins to find a match. the game was also unplayable. the game looked to be running at 1fps at times. i tried another time. same thing.

    I had no interest in playing this pointless mode before launch, have no interest in playing it ever, e-sports is a just ego driven pro-noobs with zero talent

    I hate league play. Most games end up being 1 v 4 after the first minute or so. The 4th person stays in the game forcing the rest of my team to sit and wait until the game is over. Quitting a league play match should result in a huge penalty like being banned from the servers for 24hrs or so. I have yet to play more than 5 matches (most of the time even 1 match) without the other team quitting before it ends

      A ban may be good, but all the connection loss and DC from host lots of people will get a ban when the game kicks them out. That would be a bigger problem.
