What is the big deal with all the Target Finder hate?

Posted by FixBlops2 on Dec 10, 2012 2:13 AM

I've haven't used the Target Finder yet but i will do in the next days, can someone explain why people hate the Target Finder when its the same thing as Marksman Pro from MW3? Markman Pro was a popular perk in MW3 and no one complained about it but now it gets lot of hate? makes no sense. Cold Blooded is one of the first perks you unlock so why all the hate?

[REMOVED]  If you can't even take the time to simply look at the name to see if the person you're looking at is a friendly or an enemy, you don't deserve to have your optic mark targets for you.

And no, it isn't the same as Marksman Pro, because you still had to look to identify your target.

It's basically the Heatbeat Sensor of MW2 & MW3...the noob attachment.

I don't that much of an issue with it and use the counter provided however I still believe it's a ridiculous attachment.

It's a thermal scope without any colour distortion, and a fast ADS. Because it fully scopes in, it removes all visible recoil.

It only has one drawback which is that it fully scopes in and leaves no peripheral vision.

    Annoying, but not game breaking

You are so correct. It is the noob attachment since a player does not even really have to be on target to see if its an enmey if they even pass through the sights, it begins to light up.

It makes it where people do not have to guess friend or foe in the game at longer ranges. Allowing for easy sweep, locate, spray, kill  game tactics. Especially when used on a lmg, wiht extended clips.

My gold MK48 is proof of that tactic as a very effective one. Depending on the map and using that setup I always went positive, even when playing on obj games.

People call it a n00b attachment because it's so very difficult to put Cold Blooded on isn't it?

Target Finder = Head Glitchers worst nightmare.

They put it in the game cause they are catering to the little kids who are gonna get their parents to buy this game. Us CoD vets know that it is nothing more than a noob device and that this game is horrible. Ghost is ruined, noob scopes, real hardcore ruined, man I could go on and on but the verdict is in, this game sucks and the original Black Ops is way better. Treyarch ruined this game big time cause they cater to the run and gunners and there is NO strategy left in this game. Dont believe me? Have fun having to "move" when a UAV goes up but it don't work really. I have tested this so many times and the second you stop sprinting you're dead cause they see you. Sad.

The target finder is one of the noobiest things I have ever seen. Did I ever put a reflex scope or red dot on my Commando in the first Black Ops? No. Would I EVER use the target finder in Black Ops 2? No.
