Fix the sprint button on BO2!!!! (Xbox 360)

Posted by deadsoldier717 on Dec 3, 2012 2:53 PM

I died a lot of time in MP because of this issue. To sprint, I just move forward and click the left thumbstick to sprint, and 1 sec later I instantly walk. Holding it down doesnt help either. My controller works fine and so does my internet, and I installed the game as well. Please fix ths problem asap

You need the "Extreme Conditioning" Perk equipped

for this to work  (in the 3rd Perk slot)

    Extreme Conditioning

Allows you to sprint 2x longer than normal, which gains you a significant field advantage.

You can't sprint non-stop . Eventually you will tire out and must wait for your sprint to recharge, so to speak. If you try to sprint right after you tire out, you will have the "problem" you describe.

I had this problem in Black Ops 1, but I believed it was because the joystick would stop registering a forward press for perhaps only a few milliseconds, thus interrupting it.  I could move forward fine without noticing myself pausing, but I would always break a run after a second or less.  I had the same problem in Mass Effect 3, but that was with holding A, and it would still break my run within a second.  So basically for me it was a joystick input registration issue.  Have you tried to run on any other Call of Duties recently?

I was having a issue with sprint as well and it turned out to be my controller.  The joy stick when pressing done on it wouldnt allow me to run some times.  I bought a new controller and everything is fine now.

in addition to what was mentioned above you will be slower if you're using heavy weapons like an lmg or a rocket launcher. you'll be lucky if you go 10 feet without tiring out. either use an smg or use extreme conditioning.
