what's up with this hijacked map?

everyone knows where everyone is gonna be when I am running about trying to find people i get shot left and right and get it hard from behind. Do these players just sit and study these spawns and know exactly where to go for the next kill or something? What's the fun in that? Game fun not really. Enemy footsteps dead silence or no still can't hear, awareness perk? that's broken.

    Hijacked is a small map, so yes the spawns are all over. If you control the map with your team, then you can control the spawns. It is not a map you can sit back on your heels in when you spawn, you have to be prepared for action immediately. If your team coordinates, you can keep from spawning in the enemy's laps.

     

    Nobody gets footsteps. If you want them, you use Awareness. Awareness works on anyone in the player's vicinity. You will hear the footsteps quite well, I have tested this. It is not like SRP where you can hear from across the map, players have to be close by. But you can hear everything when they are.

        SRP sounded like elephants on a hot tin roof, even with DS on. It was overdone. Awareness is much more balanced. That is all I was saying.

         

        Free for All you get what you get. It is every man for himself. Effective players in FFA control an area to prevent getting Spawn killed. If you play a lone wolf game, you can expect this kind of thing to happen. There are people scattered all over the map, the spawns are going to be effected by that.

          This map on FFA is horrendous, Wicked shrapnel just uploaded a good gameplay on FFA on hijacked for 'this map f*cking sucks' at one point he spawns and gets shot in the back almost instantly!

           

          I love this map for Hardpoint/domination/kill confirmed/headquarters, but it just doesnt work for FFA. I think they need to adjust the spawns to be on all three levels (below deck/deck/upstairs) instead of just on the deck

      actually in hardcore with a good team you can pick a spawn and keep it and not be forced to spawn awa from it.

       

      I should know some of the players I play with, camp like champs and unless someone gets a lucky kill and that player was too far foward we hardly ever switch spawns on some of the maps.

    Hijacked is the new Nuketown in BLOPS2. It plays just like it with the exception of the below deck passages through the engine room. If things are going your way its a great map if not it sucks. If you dont have a strong team you can get destroyed on that map. Crappy spawns = spawn killers

    Don't ever play CTF on Hijacked by yourself, as you'll get put into lobbies against full teams spawn killing you. It's pretty nasty how the CTF spawns are set up on that map. You just have to peek around the left or right side every few seconds and shoot someone before they can move.

    I love Hijacked for KC and TDM.  FFA is a waste of time on that map though, it's way to small and it's not the games fault with poor spawing as there are people everywhere and it IS impossible to avoid spawn kills.

    go play one of the community fun game modes where theres a constant UAV, get on hijacked and then you'll see how bad it is.

    literally you can't even leave your spawn without someone spawning back in the same spot looking right at you

    Horrid map for many reasons, least being the balcony's over looking the spawns, i never did like nuke town tho.

     

    I could be honest with myself and say it is one of them maps for red dot chasing chimps but i would't want to offend anybody would i.

    Hijacked is a bad map mainly due to spawns, but the map itself is just flat out too small. What is really frustrating about most of these maps is that one spawn side is so much better than the other. Carrier c side is much harder to spawn camp. A side is incredibly easy to shoot into. Slums and hijacked both have a spawn point in which you have go up hill with a barrel one every side for players to spawn camp and head glitch. Drone is easy to shoot into A side as you can get on the helipad. Most maps seem to have a much better side to the where black ops 1 they felt much more equal. Plus this spawn system needs some serious work.
