It's NOT my connection!

I dropped fibre[R]optic cable for this line because the ping-times are better.

This is to a country overseas from me, 700 miles away from my current location.

One of the most common countries for hosting apart from Great Britain.

This is to the most common host in europe: Great Britain

I made SURE my line was the BEST I POSSIBLY COULD GET for gaming.

I chose 6 MB download 1 MB upload when I could have chosen a fiberoptic cable, because the fiberoptic broadband had more hassle with the ping.

This is the absolutely WORST POSSIBLE IMAGINABLE host in Europe:

That is a 0.06 second delay.

Or rather: I get the data from the host 0.03 seconds after the data are sent, and my responses are on the host 0.03 seconds after the stuff that happens in my game gets sent to the host in France.

I should be 0.03 seconds behind what the host sees on his screen, at the maximum.

Why am I 0.30 seconds behind EVERYONE ELSE on EVERY SINGLE GAME today???

These are tests from my WIRELESS PC.

My 360 is CABLED and runs DMZ.

I have not had ONE SINGLE GOOD GAME ALL DAY.

NOT ONE game where I have not thought about leaving because I cannot win close quarters fights today.

Some games, I have won and gone 2:1 and STILL felt the need to leave after the game was over to find a new host.

...

I just had to quit a 4 bar connection game where everyone has 4 bars because it was unplayable:

I went 0-6 -- when I should have gone 5-1.

Then 1-7 when I should have gone 7-1.

Then I quit.

What is wrong with this game?

Why does GOOD PING mean a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE?

I run off a 4Mb BT connection here in the UK and when I'm made host, I die. Frequently. And not just inside. My advice? Go and try hardcore. That's what I did as soon as I ranked up a bit in Dom, etc.

It seems to me that lag compensation + hardcore makes for a better game experience.

Hmm... I live in Norway and get decent connections regularly nowadays.
