Now we have to pretty much vote to play the map we got for preordering?

you contradict yourself.  It cannot be in the regular playlists.

        Thanks for the post though

I wish dav would elaborate on the fragmenting matchmaking by putting in a map that was promised when we pre ordered.

I mean the matchmaking is already terible how much worse can it get ?

Because not everyone has it. The way matchmaking works now is it looks at who has what maps. You'll notice that if you don't download the DLC you won't be put into a room that will have the DLC maps in the playlist

I find it pathetic that people are going for his throat. He is not the one holding it back. He CLEARLY said he fights FOR THE "USERS!" US! If the people insulting him would grow a brain and realize that their bosses calls the shots.

Or, like someone said about 10 minutes ago, it'll be a classic case of take it away, wait for the outcry and then give it back to prove how they really listen to the community and what they want.  It also makes a fantastic distraction from how poorly the game is performing for most people.  Adolescent? Maybe, but at least they're not naive and gullible and take everything they're fed just because it has a sugar coating.

Well for one thing at least I'm positive. The majority of this forum is really sad. Almost every forum is about how BO II sucks, connection issues, lag, lag, LAG! I have had lag problems but I keep to myself and they really aren't game breaking. I still think Treyarch and BO II is miles past MW3 and this isn't even a finished game and it beats MW3. SUCK IT IW!

I try to give some positive, but at the end of the day when you have a problem, you have to report it or it wont get fixed, just some people are a little less eloquent about it   It wouldn't be too hard to be better than mw3 to be fair, but in the last 2 days my game has started playing like it, which is a shame as I was enjoying the game for the 2 days previiously

Useless. Hmmm. Ever think this is a hoodwink to sucker you into buying DLC? NO, I guarantee not.

Spam the crap out of every possible outlet about a map, that not everyone has, which in turn will probably rarely show up in the MoshPit that it IS getting added to, which will cause you to rarely get to play it. Which will also induce more lag and matchmaking problems. There you go.. knowledge about CoD from a non-nO_oB.

I'm a realist. I have had discussions along with other Forum members about fractured playerbases for years. Not every person in the world ordered this game. You aren't guaranteed to have a good quality session by having it. More than likely you can endup matched with people having yellow and red bars. He is trying to warn against serious matchmaking issues like what happened in MW3, BUT the babies need Der babaas. Fail, fail, fail.

Interesting line of thinking, giving you a reason in advance about matchmaking issue's so there's no surprises when it fails. People will be placated because of what he wrote and go on and accept the problem now.

No they won't. If someone doesn't realize that this guy doesn't want to add it because asHe said, it will begin causing issues. It is DLC, not a stock map. What is going to happen is no short of what happen in MW3. HEY. Throw a tantrum like a child, look what you get. Pathetic as I said.

I understand why they didn't put it on the regular playlist but I hope they release it with Nuketown Zombies just so I can play in a Regular match with my favorite map. I also hope they bring back Firing Range since that was another really great map.

Because they took out a map that was already implemented into the game and placed it in Choas Moshpit, they "listened to the community?" You're making no sense. Why are you giving them credit? Don't see what the 'hype' is about regarding Treyarch. If they did listen to the community, Nuketown 2025 would be it's own playlist, not in a moshpit rotation, which no one asked for.

No map in the game has it's very own playlist my friend, unless we are doing a special event.

    BS.

i bet you it was the same person who came up with the overpowered submachine guns and the fact that you cant snipe like the real military does and only 4 hardcore modes and no team tac no 1v1 and 2v2 and all other things that people actually like

You know as well as I do Vendetta, that through all these years we have been on here that someone has to coke through and tapdance for the Studio with the latest game out. What is so funny about it is... They'll be whining about the modes, the frequency in which it pops up, and how horrible it lags.

        Agreed.

On another point, there's that "one member" who will defend the developers even though they had a part in it. You're going to tell me that Treyarch didn't test the game before its launch, saw the flaws within their own game, and decided to release it regardless? Similar to Black Ops. Although, that forum had delusional members that defended Treyarch even though the complaints outweighted the "praise".

Oh, the " my copy was fine" guy!!!? Horse dung. Every game is coded in mass production. There serve no use to the greater cause of getting as close to equality as the other console. They help not achieve the objective of getting back good quality connectivity, matchmaking for online play. It the proverbial " putting the cart before the horse".

Every copy of Black Ops 2 sold on Nov. 13th had a Nuketown code - in fact I'm fairly certain I could go buy a copy today and there would be a Nuketown 2025 code in the box - the pre-order thing was kind of a "hood wink"

Theres no reason they couldn't just put it in the regular playlists.

yay we got the map in a rotation of maps, instead of a 24/7 nuketown. That is not what we want.

The thing that gets my goat about pre-ordering was the HE and CP versions... you get NT zombies... oh wait: Everyone is gonna get it and we have not said anything about selling the pass cheaper to those who ALREADY HAVE PART OF THE DLC.

The only reason why I've been playing Black Ops 2 was because of the Nuketown 24/7 Playlist. I hate every single map except one that they've made for this game. Just a personal opinion I'm sure some people love them.

I also hate every other map! This is not what I brought the game for. I brought it for nuketown 24/7.

whether or not we love or hate the other maps is totally irrelevant.

        The point is:

If you pre-ordered (or got lucky on launch day) and was supposed to get NT2025, it does not say:

        - Play NT 2025 during special events

        - play NT 2025 in your own custom games

It simply says: get the NT 2025 bonus map. From a legal standpoint, one could argue they never said "it was going to be available all the time in the public playlists (in a moshpit, on its own or in regular rotation)"

However... they never said how it was going to be done either.

Shady business practices my friends... sorry but I am finally starting to get cynical and negative as I truly feel like someone pull the wool over my eyes.... liking the game, not liking the "bait and switch"

I don't do "Moshpits" - I don't want to be forced to play gametypes I don't like - I only want to play TDM, Domination and Kill Confirmed.

I only played Nuketown 3 or 4 times assumed the playlist would be there when ever I wanted.

    I assumed wrong.

We both assumed wrong. And the map was never advertised as such.... nor was it advertised to the contrary.

Keep it vague, that way they can claim total deniability.

I think they have bigger problems to worry about than removing playlists etc. - lets try to get this game working at least half way first.

Freezing - People not being able to get online - horrible lag compensation - trouble keeping a party together - games always ending up with uneven teams - trouble getting into games - etc.

While it is true that no where was it ever stated prior to launch that Nuketown 2025 would be 24-7 or have its own playlist or appear in rotation, when we all downloaded Nuketown and it appeared in its OWN moshpit playlist stating "24-7" and the now infamous phrase "we never close" it could be surmised that Nuketown 2025 was going to be there 24-7/365 not just for 6 days and only to resurface for so called special events (which aren't exactly regular) or am I missing something here?

Footnote: How many times was a Nuketown 24-7 special event held on Black Ops I? I recall 3 or 4 times max...

I can say without a shadow of a doubt that unless this is reversed, I will not be purchasing the season pack as I had planned to. Nor will I be purchasing any other CoD (or any other game for that matter) that has a Treyarch logo on the box. Most of the people that I play with have said the same.

We no longer feel that we can trust Treyarch. The messed up BO1 on PS3, it was still messed up when MW3 came out and I suspect that if I pop the disk on now, it will STILL freeze the PS3. Then BO2 came out and I thought that they would have learned from the monumental balls-up that was the BO1 launch.. oh how wrong I was. Now they remove/change the preorder bonus that they heavily advertised.

I know that Treyarch won't care what us handful of players think and whether we will buy the next one; By the time BO3 is released there will be a whole new generation of players, oblivious to all of this, that Treyarch can take money from and then royally disappoint yet again.

Treyarch, you've made a lot of faithful fans angry and disappointed. I really feel for those kids that are excited because they have been promised BO2 for Christmas. Perhaps while you guys are tucking into your turkey dinners, you can take a moment to visualise the look on those kids faces after the 3rd or 4th hard lockup in as many games.

Perhaps Vahn should point out that one of the player models looks uncannily like it was modelled on himself. It may encourage more fans to continue playing if they realise they can shoot him in head.
