The Most Hyped and best selling CoD Ever, is also the worst CoD ever made.

I've tried. I've given this game a week. A week filled with Being shot around corners. A week filled with 3 barring and being lag compesated. A week filled with hit markers, and at times no hit markers.

 

This game has made me want to go back to MW3. Hell, this game makes me miss MW3. Even in that game, I had the same connection, and while being lag comped could still perform well.

 

I doubt this game will change until Christmas. If sales are low, which they "Should be," we may see changes to the game. Meaning, if you have any friends anywhere that want to get this game for X-mas. Tell them how it is in it's current state. Tell them it's horrible. Tell them it feels like a beta and unfinished.

 

We've all already been suckered into buying what we thought was going to be an AMAZING game.

 

Let's not have people who haven't bought it do the same, and hopefully change something.

    yeah man you know they F'd up on a game when you see the "servers are down" message more than the total number of games you have played... what a waste of $60. im confused as to why this game got such a good rating and all hyped up by the gaming community. DO NOT BUY BLACK OPS 2! ITS JUNK!

      you know ive noticed a lot of the people who complain of lag seem to be on west coast, im on east and me and my friends, we've had lag but really triple A title seeing nearly a million people playing at once, first week in we've given a certain amount of leeway. so im hopeing you guys hold out for a bit a game running on good connection can get crazy fun, connection issues CAN be fixed

        you cant say that im from the UK and i have 100MB up and 6MB down MW3 for me was ok black ops 1 was very good for me but this game is just as he says LAG being shot around a corner thou on my screen i was round the corner on his i was in the open LAG when im just standing there cant move next thing im dead this game is a joke and the last call of duty ill ever buy untill they fix the connection. ill stick to battlefield 3 and halo 4

      You know nothing about how the game works.

       

      If you have "a better connection" you get lag compensated. I have 15 Up and 3 Down, and am constantly getting lag compesated, while players with 1 up and .5 down steam roll everyone because they have shitty internet.

        22 up, 6 down and 12ms ping, can't win a gunfight ever. No matter what gun I use, no matter what I do,i CAN'T WIN A GUN FIGHT. even ones rediculously in my favor. I shoot first, die first.

        No offense, but I wish you morons would stop spouting bandwidth as it means something.  Games like this do not give a crap about bandwidth.  It's all about latency between hosts.

         

        For example, I have throttled my connection down from 40mbps down / 5mbps up to 200 kbps both down and up and I still get 3 and even 4 bar connections to the games and still get lag compensated.  This is all because I still have <50 ms ping to the host regardless of my bandwidth capacity.

         

        These games don't send/receive a buttload of content.  It just sends binary data that describes the various bits of the game (e.g. player positions, shots fired, etc etc).  All of the heavy content is stored on your HDD when you installed the game.

          now give a quick tutorial on polygon colision detection and that should make the heads start exploding

    I told most of my friends the lag comp in this game made mw3 look like counter strike. but they still buy it because this game is ez mode

    Lol what? I havent ran into ANY of those problems yet.

     

    Im sorry but MW3/ BO1 (with theater mode on and my old internet) were loads worse. Ive had a 3 bar only once, played with a bunch of Euro ppl, and it was almost the exact same.

     

    Some people just need to realize when theyre actually getting outplayed for once, instead of losing a gunfight and throwing their controller against the wall.

      so being ouplayed is shooting an enemy in the back getting hitmarkers and then insta killed when they turn round? being outplayed is shooting first but on kill cam you never fired? being outplayed is pointblank with a shootie again hitmarkers dead.

       

      max prestige on all cods kd over 2 on all cods wins over 2 and blops 2 totally destroyed unless i camp with betties or claymores that get my kills well done treyarch.

        This is how I get routinly "out played" in this game. I've never seen anything this bad. It's pretty ridiculous that MW3 had better connections even at launch.

         

        Also, you probably think you are so "beast" at this game when you are getting shot in the back and you turn around and shoot someone and kill them....

      dude you dont get ****, so what you haven't had thses problems good for you in black ops i tomahawked a guys SHADOW and killed him thats why we are complaining tons of people have these problems not only on blacl ops two but on black ops one as well, strictly speaking since black ops 1 there has been two years that treyarch could have made programs and found ways to fix their games problems, but have they no thye just sit on their lazy asses saying they will release a patch, last time on black ops one they said they were gonna patch it , i wen back to modern warfare two and prestiged 4 times and then continued to play that because my bullets actually hit, and spawns were not terrible. its not your connection people its treyarch servers, i can connect fine to mw3 and mw2, but as soon as i even touch black ops 1 or 2 bullets fly round corners, knifing cant kill people, and tomahawks can kill shadows, treyarch may make millions, but but when you look at whether they contibuted anything to video games they just made another piece of **** game with the same problems as the last one they made

    Given I do agree that this is pretty broken in places, you have clearly never heard of MW3.

     

    I was going to make a thread myself last night and didn't, because I actually didn't let dying over and over from bs get to me that much and did good...Think I had a 93-25 game with a shotty. O_O.

     

    Anyhow, get over it.

     

    Everyone risks themselfs when they buy a title with Call of Duty in the name, devs just tell you what YOU want to hear so THEY can make SELLS. It's going to be the same next year if they make another, which since they make so much money they will...It'll be "Oh we promise to tone down on the lag, we will throw in 5 horrible free maps for all players who pre-order the game, and we promise it will be playable."

     

    A week later and you'll be right back here.

    I agree. I've already been reccommending to people to pass on it. Even when you get a good connection the maps don't allow for any sort of flow. These are the worst maps I have ever seen in any COD. I don't know how they went from Black Ops 1's maps to these. And yeah I'm going to complain about SMGs. I'm not going to say they are OP'd, but they are the most annoying on this game as any COD I've ever played. I don't know if I should give this game more time becasue I've enjoyed it less than anyother COD I've played. I've had such a difficult time finding a game where I'm not behind. It happend occasionally in other CODs, but this one it's nearly every game.

    And in everything you said, it's only been out, well, not even a week yet and you already expect EVERYTHING to be fixed?  More of the "you owe me something and you I get it free" mentality of todays generation... gotta love it.

     

    Be patient and give it some time, I'm sure they are working on all of the major problems and complaints.  At least Teryarch is known for actually following through on fixes pretty quickly.  The only issue I have besides the curving around corner bullets (ie. MW3's famous issue) is that the Elite site and my Xbox are always missing games that I played.  Of course it's the games I score big in and want to check out again, but they are just gone like they never happened.

     

    Just enjoy what you have for a change people, and if it's that bad play something else until things start getting fixed.

      guess what boyo we have every right and yes i used the word right, we have every right to complain about this crappy game because its been two years since black ops 1 and guess what they had the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS in that game, they have had two years to get their **** together and now we are supposed to wait for them to patch it by x-mas?!? thats whats bull ****, Known for following through? are you high they never follow though it was months in black ops 1 before they even responded to people complaining

    i agree,the maps are terrible (see one ,seen um all) campaign mode reads like bad cartoon truly the worst cod ever!!!!!!!

    they should start releasing them every 2 years.  with more DLC such as guns,

    Ive already gone back to BO1, the last good game in the cod series.

     

    BO2 has turned out to be just about the most disapointing gaming experience of my life.  Never have I had higher hopes, a treyarch cod, and been kicked in the balls harder.

     

    Sadly with treyarch abandoning their former mantra of rewarding skilled gameplay, both them and IW are targeting the casual market now.  The rest of us are pretty much screwed.

      Last skilled CoD was CoD4.

       

      Everything else has been barred with large quantaties of killstreaks, "qscoping", campers, no one playing the objective, and one sided map creations.

       

      Before you think you got skills from playing CoD and have not experienced CoD 4 then trust me pal you are a casual gamer.

        Actually I beg to differ. WAW was a great game, required skill, and is one of my favorite COD's to date. I agree that they did go less skill based but it was after WAW.

          blops2 is not the best selling cod, mw2,mw3 and blops1 all grossed more then blops2 in their first week

          WaW, cod 4 and BO were all amazing games.  All rewarded skilled play too.  Hell that was the design philopshy behind Black ops in the first place (much like mw3 and now bo2 were targeting the casual).

           

          MW2 was amazing for 1 week till all the broken stuff started getting discovered.  After that it become unplayable.  Just needed some post launch support.

           

          MW3 and BO2 are absolutely awful.

    Do this:

     

    Go and play MW3 for some time. And then come back later, when they might have fixed the issues. Give it time. Week isn't really enough to fix the issues.

     

    But to be FAIR, they should keep players updated about stuff. Then again, see what happened to that Robert Bowling-guy when he tried to do that? Maybe it's wise to keep distance at community...

    Im sorry, but for the people who say get better internet and then come back and play are just plain stupid. I have a 3.1 kdr on mw3 and i get on this and have a hard time of staying close too a 2.0. its possible but you have to courner camp your butt off and hope someone doesnt round the courner and prefire and hit you across the map, while hip fireing. because this game has the most rediculious aiming engine ever. And the lag compensation that the game has right now is a joke. no game ever has had this bad of issue with its release. I love all cod's, but this one. SO PLZ IF YOU ARE READING THESE POST fix the damn game.

    Issues with game

    1.retarded hip firing kills

    2. guy rounds a courner boom im dead and all i saw was his shoulder coming around and on kill cam he had already took 4 steps down the hall and then kills me

    3. 3 round burst guns are sappose to be strong right. well but 3, 3 round burst onto the back of someone and they turn and insta kill me in the replay cam with 1 bullet.

    4. Spawns!!!!! nuff said, you would think after all the crying about this year after year they could come up with some way to make you spawn ontop of or in a group of your teammates. how stupid is the fact that you spawn up take 5 steps and then an enemy spawns behind you in same spot and kills you.. and you see this clearly on the kill cam.

    5. I can make this list all the way to 20 but i wont.

    .... you do realize that they say this exact same thing every year, right? MW3 was that way, so was BO1, and before that MW2. I consider MW2 to be one of the best out there, and it had major problems in the beginning.

     

    Next year won't be any different. I guess it is something I've just gotten used to at this point. The game is terrible at first, they fix stuff, it stays popular, new one suddenly comes out. Rinse, repeat.
