They had to know the game was freezing on PS3 before the release!

Should have been a patch ready the second it released. I've played about 4-6 hrs total with about 40-50 stoppages due to Hard Freeze. Usually it's while looking at stats, or create-a-class. A lot of them just in the middle of a great game(of course).

 

Guys it's my belief Black Ops1 destroyed my fat 40 GB PS3 after having Bops only 2 weeks. Game froze, red light of death. I'm scared my newer 120 Slim may face the same fate if the freezing continues!

    Patches of this sort take lots of time to produce. They need to be researched, developed, approved, then tested (throughly). This isn't something that's done in a day, and we'll be lucky to get it in a week

    Easy solution: stop trying to play the game until it's fixed.  I'm not making fun because I'm having the exact same problems (I've managed to play five matches since Tuesday: five), I'm just saying that it's not worth potentially trashing a $300+ console just to rank up a little sooner.

     

    Until I see a patch released & a front page here that isn't full of "MY GAME FREEZES" and "FIX THIS **** NOW!!!!" threads, my BO2 disc will remain right there inside its box.

    My game rarely freezes. My advice is to not play it. You could break your ps3 permenantly which is 60 into 300 + of damage. So I don't know. I froze a total of 3 times. and i havent all day today.
