How will BOPS2 handle elite clan tags with special characters that were allowed in MW3?

My clan has held onto +ER+ for some time now, but I know that BOPS2 doesn't support these kinds fo characters in their clan tags.

 

So, will my tag become ER even though some other clan already uses that?

    Here is the way it works,

     

    1-what ever you clan tag is on Elite is what you have and no one can use it

     

    2- It will remain that way on MW3 without any issues and will be displayed in Gold if your clan is level 10 or higher

     

    3- On BO2 go to clan tag area and type your clan tag as it is on Elite and it will turn gold on BO2 ( assuming you already reached level 10 or higher on MW3 )

     

    4- Since BO2 doesn't support characters in clan tags your clan tag will never be gold on BO2 but will be gold on MW3. For your clan tag to be gold on BO2 it must be typed exactly as it is on Elite.

     

    5- Treyarch did not consider this issue while the game was being created. Why I have no idea and it will cause many issues for clans. Considering the whole gold clan tag started with MW3 and earning it at level 10, they should have thought about this issue.

     

    6- Before you change your clan tag on elite becareful. Once changed you may never get it back as the system does not free clan tags once used.

      im sure they are fixing the problem along with all the other ones they are fixing.  i think one of the main issues that caused servers and systems to crash is the intregration from mw3 elite clan information to the black ops 2 clan upkeep.  On top of that is the special character dilema. we are in defcon 4 as for algorithm completion as far as the integrations, improved matchmaking, the outstanding graphics, the population count of COD'ers online, and all the suprises treyarch are about to throw to us.  It will be time.  patience is a virtue.
