What the hell is wrong with Domination?

I just played 3 matches of Dom, and I notcied some things. I keep spawning right near enemies for what ever reason, and Dom is split into 2 rounds. Why? Dom has been good since CoD4, and now everything resets after a halftime.

    It's to try and stop ppl from spawn killing .

      It obviously doesn't work, because i've been spawn killed plenty.

        That's just bad spawns/small maps, its to deter ppl from cheating .

          Meh. Also, I thought that we were going to have to equip our knives so that panic kniving would cease?

            Nope, that was not ever a feature of the game. Just it will switch to your knife if you do not have a secondary equipped. they still need to ever fix QSing before they need to really worry about panic knifing.

              I hoped that switching to the knife would make you run faster, as an incentive to use it, but I don't notice a thing. And quickscoping can take a back seat to the god damn spawn killing. I spend a lot of the game skipping killcams because I keep dying as soon as I spawn, no matter where I spawn.

    They made it two rounds because this game is catered towards the competitive world. Round based Dom is part of that. It's a way of giving the teams both sides of the field in the beginning. If you haven't noticed there are some maps where if you spawn a, b is much easier to take for you than c spawn. So flipping spawns eliminates that initial advantage on most maps.

    Now the knifing. They said they decreased te range of the knife. You can't panic from 10 ft away anymore. You gotta be pretty close.

      It just seems like having 2 rounds is Treyarch's way of giving the enemy a free pass out of the mistakes they made losing the 1st round. Why bother trying your hardest to defend flags in the 1st round when you can just camp and build up killstreaks for the second?

    that they made it round based is the biggest mistake ever if you ask me

    for me domination doesn't feel like a proper domination match anymore

    The spawns are the worst I have ever encountered in any Cod game, laughable !

    Spawning in Tdm is unbelievably bad, I am amazed at what I have been witnessing over the last 200 games I have played.

    I play 90% of the time with a team of six 2 to 3 kdr players, we play has a tight knit group that usually dictates the enemy spawn I say usually because in this game its impossible, one of you team dies and is spawned complete opposite side of the map for some reason ! We have tried tacking in our spawn to no avail, it just spawns them behind you !

    Joke spawns spoiling a potentially excellent game.

      Round based Dom is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.  Demolition, CTF, and S&D obviously make sense for round based, but Domination?  Why, because one team starts 2 feet closer to their starting flag?  So what, this is domination, every flag changes sides a dozen times per game.  I absolutely despise "e-sports" ruining games that worked fine.

       

      I have to fight my friends to play anything other than TD, getting them to play Domination now is going to be much harder.
