I am thankful for ___________?

Posted by ghamorra on Nov 6, 2012 6:40 AM

For those of us here in the States we're coming up on Thanksgiving. It's traditional to express our thankfulness during this holiday. It's also closing in on the final days before game launch, so to try and tie these two elements together I would like everyone to post what they are thankful for in Call of Duty franchise. I know some of you aren't the most loving of people, but let's try to make this sincere

I am thankful for having the chance to play the best first person shooter ever. While it may have it's faults, Call of Duty is still better than any other game out there

    Agreed buddy.

I am thankful for my loving wife, who puts up with my nonstop gaming habit even at the expense of her own activities.  That's true love right there.  I imagine if BOii is even just a fraction better then MW3, then most of our time will be spent at home.

Gotta love gamer chicks!!!  I call mine a "quasi gamer chick", she's only into old school Nintendo, Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt, Zelda, etc.  She can't get into how fast games have become.

Mine can't get past all the violence.  She says there is just too much killing....

Weird I know.  I think it is the fact of killing a "person" and not a creature.  Again, Zelda you are slaying all sorts of beasts, fighting for your life and such, but because they are all fictional, I guess that is how she rationalizes it.

Women are weird and I just go along for the ride most of the time.

    Good post G

I am thankful with all sincerity to have the means to even purchase a console and laugh with my buds in the game.

I cannot complain, I have a roof over my head, friends, job, car and many other things that to many are either impossible to obtain or far reached.

@ Rid----I would be thankful for a wife like that, she got a sister LOL

I am thankful that Black Ops II will be the best COD yet and that it looks to have much better lag comp/connections/matchmaking than the previous two.

Whenever I see your name I read it as "gonorrhea." Not on purpose, it just happens.

borderlands and borderlands 2 for killing time until Bl Ops 2 comes out

and to have a wife that understands and supports my gaming too. I have 2 xbox and a PS3 all hardwired for on line gaming. PS3 and Xbox in kitchen hooked up to a 42" LCD because she got tired of sharing the 50" with the other xbox in the living room. We also have almost 700 songs in our rockband library which she has friends over and sings and drinks while I sit in kitchen with headset on and game away. Bl Ops 2 soundtrack provided by RockBand network.

We have lego LotR on pre order for same day I pick up Bl Ops 2 and I am getting Halo 4 for my son on the way home tonight.

I am thankful for having a gaming family !

Oh and a job that allows me to support the hobby for the whole family too.

    1)  My family and friends

    2)  That I have a job

    3)  The randomness of chance that led to me being born a citizen of the United States

    4)  The lives of every US service member lost throughout our short national history; given by those brave, selfless individuals so that I may enjoy the freedoms that I take for granted every day

    5)  Coffee. My holy trinity? Juan Valdez, his burro and a sack of colombian coffee beans

    6)  Pie. I abso-freakin'-lutely LOVE pie

        2)  I wish you luck in getting one

        4)  Thankful they've given their lives (and continue to do so) to maintain the freedoms I enjoy

        6)  Mincemeat and rhubarb are the only pies I don't like. Personal favorites? my grandmother's peach/cranberry, cherry, dutch apple, and pumpkin

Congratulations. There's nothing better or harder than being a parent. I look at my 7 year old son every day and am thankful for him. He was born 5 weeks early and in the NICU for two weeks. He's now the tallest kid in his class.
