Ok. Basically, I when I first started Modern Warfare 3, I had a lot of my friends say I should sign up for Elite.
I tried this, and it kept telling me that either my email was already in use, or my email was wrong, OR the password was wrong. Yesterday, I reset my email, got a new one, I added that as my email for my gamertag on xbox live, and as my signing in email for Elite.
When I check out my elite, it says link your gamertag, I click that, enter my email and password when it asks me, then it takes me back saying my acount is linked. Then I go to chek things like recent games, my prestige progress etc. and it says I haven't even bought Modern Warfare 3 or Black Ops or any Call of Duty game, despite buying them all since Modern Warfare1.
I search for my gamertag in the find player section, and it's there, telling me my prestige levels and recent games and whatever, but it's not linked to my actual acount using the email I used to sign up with and the same email I used for xbox live.

This is confusing me, I don't understand when I select link account, it doesn't.
I have tried all my old email addresses on Elite, and it says they're not in use. So my gamertag doesn't seem to be linked to an account I would have tried to create a few months ago, because I only have 3 emails previously used, and out of those, I now only use one, all online accounts and things use the same email, but different passwords for obvious reasons.
