What router is better for PS3 online gaming?

I am looking for a router that has the best connection for MW3 or other online games, a connection that is faster than the other players. The ones i am debating is a Linksys E2500 Advances Dual Band N600, and a NetGear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router. I want the one that will make my PS3 fast, non lag, strong connectivity and easy to use. Any suggestions? thank you
my netgear dual band works fine but still get lag, maybe it works too good..LOL..seems the better connection you have the worse the game plays for you
Go with Netgear
this game is still laggy whatever your router or the solution which you opted. However i tried a lot of router, and the best result for me is to bridge the router and plug my ps3 directly on the modem.
It seems router buffers induce latency, even with a router special gaming i had this kind of latency (when you get multiple killstreaks for example you are slowed down).

Slowed down, how so? ![]()
im with sky and im using there router. i also have the ntl router. if i disconnect the sky router and connect the ntl one will this work
Stcik to Sky mate. I changed to the Virgin Super Hub thingy, and even though the internet is much faster, gaming wise its all a mess. Like one of the other guys said, it seems the better your internet connection the worse the lag.
ah get ya m8. but is that possible to do or would it not work
You don't have to use the router the ISP provides, but you would need to check it is compatible for your line type and make a note of the settings to put into the NTL router, or you might be lucky and it will just work, as long as you don't change anything on your Sky router you are fine.
Log into the routers homepage to check settings/ password etc
I'm with talktalk they provide a crappy router, so I swapped with a Cisco/Linksys, but had to manually setup
There is a major compatability issue with the Superhub and online gaming. A friend has the Superhub and he has done loads of research with online forums. There are loads of posts about the Superhub screwing up ping rates etc.
Do you have any idea if your mate found a solution?? I've tried allsorts, but the virgin super hub seems to be a nightmare for online gaming, especially mw3 and blops, although mw2 seems to connect a whole lot better since i changed to virgin
Linksys E4200 is a good router for gaming, but your connection is the key not the router, any half decent router will do the job
56k dial-up modem for MW3.
Any decent modern router for games that work properly.
