Since this Elite got switched to being MW3 only and not advancing on to future cod games as first said, I'd like to cancel this before subscribing to Elite 2.0 for Black Ops 2. How do I cancel this current Elite membership? I don't want it to renew itself automatically this winter when I've completely forgoten about it...
Hello,
Which console are you on? Depending on your console, this process will vary, but the basic steps would be to go to your purchases, subscriptions, and manage subscription.
You should be able to turn off auto-renewal.
Hope that helps!

PS3
Go to Account Management -> then to Transaction Management -> then to Services List -> then to Call of Duty @ Elite -> then click on Subscription. You will see a box that reads cancel automatic renewal.
Xbox
Go to Settings -> then Account Management -> then to Your Memberships -> then to Call of Duty @ Elite -> then click on Modify Subscription. You will see 2 options
*** Automatic Renewal is automatically set for PS3 users when Elite is purchased. But its only set for some Xbox users.
Sorry, I am confused by your statement ( Since this Elite got switched to being MW3 only and not advancing on to future cod games as first said ) How did you find out that Elite will not advance to BO2 ? Did they make an announcment ?
Hes just talking out of his anus. Of course it's gonna move on to BO2,why else would they put a BO2 box next to the mw3 one in the "my HQ".
That's what I thought. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss out on the announcement of the century LOL
Oh, they won't let you miss it. They'll remind you how exciting of a time this is (waiting for them to announce WHEN they'll announce the announcement). Considering they haven't even given us a date when they'll be telling us about ELITE and BO2, and BO2 is due to drop in five weeks... Doesn't give a very good feeling about the product they'll be trying to pawn off on us.
I'm not taking it out of my ass, they made a statement on the forum that Black Ops 2 Elite is going to be seperate from this Elite. The system will be updated and ran the same way, but a new elite subscription will have to be bought when Black Ops 2 comes out. Why don't you look around the forum before accusing, you idiot.
I have a life to tend to rather than searching for something that isn't there. Why don't you post the link to it instead? Not judging your comprehension level, but sometimes people like to assume things and misread information. Surely, with a name like sosickminded, you wouldn't be that type of individuasl right?
I downloaded the elite from my ps3 it was free, and did a fresh start. I don't know how to get unlock my elite stuff camo.
Thanks guys, I couldn't find how to turn it off on the console though, I could only change my payment method, but I was able to find it on xbox.com.
just been looking at this myself, i contacted Activision today on there support line and it was confirmed that the elite premium membership does not entitle you to the DLC for BO2 (a season pass is instead required) however Elite is available for BO2 aswell as MW3 for free the elite service however only includes the DLC for MW3 and NOT BO2 as most think. meaning a renewal after all the MW3 DLC would be somewhat pointless , thanks for the heads up sosick, and ill have bacon and eggs in the morning please Stevo, ur mum wants her usual .

We will be making Call of Duty ELITE service features for Call of Duty: Black Ops II free when the game hits worldwide on November 13, 2012. With Call of Duty ELITE for Call of Duty: Black Ops II free, all Call of Duty ELITE members will be able to enjoy the full range of services and features.
That said, there will not be Premium ELITE Memberships available for Black Ops 2 and thus ELITE Premium Subscriptions should not auto-renew. Just to be sure, you can follow Jamaican-4Lyfe advice to turn off auto-renewal. If you have more questions please feel free to contact us here on this post or visit http://www.callofduty.com/elite/faq .
